What does Phone Number Extractor do?
Phone Number Extractor reads any list of websites and returns every phone number on them, in international format (E.164, +441615114267), with the emails it finds beside them — one record per website.
Phone numbers are hard to read from web pages: dates (20.2.2026), copyright years (© 2019-2026), IBANs, postcodes and order numbers all look like numbers to a phone parser, and in a country with short numbers a parser pulls a "phone" out of a bank account. This Actor blanks those out before it reads, keeps fax numbers apart and never bills them, and drops the complaint hotlines US terms of service must print. You pay only per phone number or email found.
Run it from the Apify Console, through the API, on a schedule, or from an AI agent through Apify's MCP server.
Why use it?
- Cold calling and SMS lists from your own list of company websites.
- Enrich a CRM with a phone for each account.
- International format, so numbers from many countries sort and dial the same way.
How to use it
- Open the Input tab and paste the websites (domains or URLs), upload a text or CSV file, or link a Google Sheet.
- Set Phone region to the country of the websites when their numbers are written without a country code (
0161 511 4267); it is guessed from the domain otherwise. - Click Start, then download the results as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML.
Output
ferrysolicitors.com, as read on October 10, 2026 (its five emails shortened to two):
{"domain": "https://ferrysolicitors.com/","status": "ok","phones": ["+35314544275","+35316269475","+35316779408","+35318327849","+35319602047"],"faxes": [],"best_email": "artane@ferrysolicitors.com","emails": [{"email": "artane@ferrysolicitors.com","valid_mx": true,"role": false},{"email": "info@ferrysolicitors.com","valid_mx": true,"role": true}],"socials": {},"pages_crawled": 3}
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
phones | Phone numbers in E.164, from tel: links, structured data and the visible text. |
faxes | Numbers labelled as fax: returned, never billed. |
emails, best_email | The addresses on the same pages, MX-checked; the company's own first. |
status | ok, no_contacts (read, nothing found) or unreachable. |
How often it finds one
Measured on three samples picked before anything was run on them:
| Sample | Websites read | With a phone number | Numbers per website (median) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Local businesses (Google Maps) | 120 | 118 (98%) | 2 |
German websites (.de) | 115 | 96 (83%) | 2 |
| Startups (Y Combinator) | 294 | 31 (11%) | 1 |
On the engine's 32 hand-checked pages every number returned was a real phone of the site (precision 100%), and 14 of the 20 on them were found. Startups rarely print a phone; local businesses nearly always do.
How much does it cost?
$0.003 per phone number or email found on the Free and Starter plans, 10% less on Scale, 20% less from Business up; faxes and empty pages cost nothing. Social profiles are off by default ($0.001 each when switched on).
Tips
- Set the phone region for a list from one country: numbers without a country code are then read right.
- Give the main domain; the contact and legal pages are found on their own.
