YouTube Channel Videos Scraper: titles, views and upload dates

Get the list of videos of any YouTube channel or playlist. Paste channel or playlist links and get one row per video with:

  • the title, link and video ID,
  • views (as YouTube shows them, plus a number),
  • the upload date (YouTube's "3 days ago" plus an approximate date),
  • the duration (text and seconds) and whether it's live,
  • the thumbnail,
  • the channel: name, ID and @handle, and for playlists the playlist title and ID.

No YouTube API key, no Google account, no browser, no quota. The actor's event fee applies only to videos you get.

Why this one

  • $0.80 per 1,000 videos, proxies included.
  • Any channel link. youtube.com/@handle, /@handle/videos or /channel/UC…, plus playlist links.
  • A cap per channel, so 200 channels × 50 videos is one run with a predictable cost.
  • Cheap monitoring of new uploads. Set "Only videos from the last N days": channels are listed newest first, so the run stops reading a channel at the first older video and only the new ones are charged.
  • No charge for failures. Invalid, private or empty channels and playlists are listed in FAILURES and aren't charged a video fee.
  • Duplicates removed. A video that appears in two of your sources is saved once.

What you can use it for

  • Competitor and creator tracking: what a channel publishes, how often, and which videos get views.
  • New-upload alerts: run daily with "last 1 day" and send new videos to Slack, email or a Google Sheet.
  • Influencer research: compare channels by recent views per video before reaching out.
  • Feeding other tools: collect video links for transcript, comment or summary pipelines (see YouTube Transcripts and YouTube Comments).
  • Archives and datasets: a full catalog of a channel or course playlist.

Input

FieldExampleNotes
Channels and playlistshttps://www.youtube.com/@GoogleDevelopersOne per line. See below.
Max videos per channel or playlist1000 = all YouTube lists, up to 10,000 per source.
Only videos from the last N days70 = no filter.
Sources in parallel3Up to 10.
  • Channels: youtube.com/@handle, /@handle/videos and youtube.com/channel/UC… links. The channel's Videos tab is used (no Shorts, live or podcast tabs), newest first. Old /c/ and /user/ links aren't supported; use the @handle link instead.
  • Playlists: youtube.com/playlist?list=… links, in playlist order. The date filter skips older videos but keeps reading, because playlists aren't sorted by date.
  • Report: SUMMARY in the key-value store lists, for each source, how many videos were saved and why it stopped (end of list, your cap, the date filter or the run's cost limit).

}

viewCount is what YouTube shows in listings, so large numbers are rounded (12M → 12000000). publishedAtApprox is worked out from the relative date, so it's only as precise as that text: roughly the right day for recent videos, and only the month or year for old ones. position is the video's place in the channel or playlist listing.

Use it from code

from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("<YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN>")
run = client.actor("santiagomv/youtube-channel-videos").call(run_input={
"sources": ["https://www.youtube.com/@GoogleDevelopers", "https://www.youtube.com/@3blue1brown"],
"newerThanDays": 7,
})
for v in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
print(v["channelName"], v["publishedTimeText"], v["viewCount"], v["title"])

More examples (Python, Node.js, cURL, n8n) are in the code examples repository.

Which YouTube actor do I need?

  • Just the video list (URLs, titles, views, durations, approximate upload dates): this actor. Channels use the Videos tab only, and views and dates are rounded or approximate as YouTube lists them.
  • Captions as text: YouTube Transcripts, for videos that have captions available.
  • Comments and replies: YouTube Comments.

All three accept channel and playlist links directly.

Pricing

$0.80 per 1,000 videos ($0.0008 each), charged as an actor event for each video returned. Looking up @handles and failed or empty sources aren't charged as events. Your run's maximum cost limit is always respected: the run stops when it's reached.

FAQ

Exact upload dates, likes or descriptions? Channel and playlist listings only show relative dates and rounded views, so that's what you get, plus an approximate date. YouTube Transcripts also returns a video's description and keywords, but only for videos with captions available.

Shorts and live streams? Only the channel's Videos tab is read. Past live streams that YouTube lists there are included.

Does it get every video of a big channel? It reads what YouTube lists, up to 10,000 videos per source. Set a run cost limit for very large channels.

Do I need a YouTube API key or proxies? No.
