Export every active Washington, DC contractor licence (5,909 on 2026-10-09): general contractors, home improvement and asbestos abatement firms, with address and registered agent. Filter by activity, status, state, city, ZIP, ward or name.
First release. Filter-only export of the District of Columbia's contractor Basic Business
Licences from DC GIS's open "Basic Business License" table (DLCP, refreshed daily): the three
contracting activities — General Contractor/Construction Manager, Home Improvement Contractor,
Asbestos Abatement Business. 5,909 active licences / 20,910 in all statuses on 2026-10-09.
An active export is 3 requests.
Only the activity and status (fixed strings) go to the server; licence number, name, city, ZIP,
address state and ward are applied in memory, so no user text reaches the query. ArcGIS's
HTTP-200 {"error": ...} answer is treated as an outage (free blocked row).
One row per licence number (unique on all 20,910 rows). The premises address is kept as filed
and split into street / city / state / ZIP where it has that shape (20,859 of 20,910).
LATITUDE/LONGITUDE are not shipped: they read (39, -77) on every row that has them.
No phone or email: the source publishes neither, and DC's one dataset that does (the DSLBD
Certified Business Enterprise list) shares no key with the licence table.
Looking up licence numbers searches every status unless one is set. maxResults (default 500,
max 100000) is run-wide. Chunked push-then-charge at $0.004 per licence.
