What it does

The actor searches the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors (LSLBC) registry using the criteria you pass (parishes, cities, contractor or company names, license numbers, contractor type, or qualifying party), runs one search per input value, and writes one normalized record per contractor to the run's dataset. When withDetails is on (the default), each contractor is enriched from its detail page with phone, email, mailing address, license dates and status, classifications, qualifying parties, and insurance. Dates are returned in the board's MM/DD/YYYY format, and missing source values are returned as null.

Two optional paid AI add-ons can score each contractor as an outreach lead (withLeadScore) and write a short business profile summary (withProfileSummary). Both require a paid Apify plan and are billed only when a result is produced.

• No charge on failure. If no search criteria are provided or a search errors, the actor writes a single item with a populated error field and does not charge for it. Empty runs cost nothing.
• Spend cap respected. Set maxTotalChargeUsd on the run; once reached, the actor stops emitting and charging further billable results.
• Free Apify plans are capped at 10 contractors per run, and the AI add-ons require a paid plan. Upgrade for higher limits.

FAQ and troubleshooting

A run returned 0 records. Why? Your search criteria matched no contractors. Try a different parish or city, or widen the license type. Zero-result runs are not charged.

How do I get phone, email, and insurance? Keep withDetails on (the default). Those fields come from opening each contractor's detail page.

Why is qualifyingPartiesText null? The board lists no qualifying party for that contractor. Missing source values are returned as null, never invented.

How do I prioritize leads? Turn on withLeadScore (paid, paid-plan only). Each row gets aiLeadScore, aiLeadTier, and aiLeadRationale so you can sort hot and warm contractors first.

What date format are the dates in? Dates are returned in the board's MM/DD/YYYY format, matching the source registry.

Is this an official government tool? No. This actor is independent and has no affiliation with the LSLBC or the State of Louisiana. It reads only data that is publicly available in the LSLBC registry.
