RSS Feed Scraper - RSS, Atom & RDF to Rows

Turn any RSS, Atom or RDF feed into clean, structured rows: title, link, author, publish date, categories, summary, full content and media enclosure. Paste a few feeds or import a file of hundreds. No API key, no browser, no proxy - it fetches the feed URL directly.

What you get per item

FieldMeaning
feedUrl / feedTitleThe source feed and its title
title / link / guidItem title, article link and unique id
author / publishedAuthor and publish/updated date
categoriesItem category/tag list
summary / contentShort description and full content (when the feed provides it)
enclosureMedia URL (podcasts / media feeds)

Input

{ "feedUrls": ["https://hnrss.org/frontpage", "https://techcrunch.com/feed/"], "maxItemsPerFeed": 50 }
  • Feed URLs - one per line (RSS, Atom or RDF).
  • Import from a file - paste a list, or link a public .txt/.csv, a Google Sheet/Drive link, or an Apify key-value-store record (also accepts the requestsFromUrl shape).
  • Output fields - trim every record to exactly the columns you need.

Leave everything empty and the run returns a small free sample so you can see the shape first.

Reliability

Parses RSS 2.0, Atom and RDF with automatic handling of CDATA, HTML and entities. A feed that 404s, is not a valid feed, or an import that cannot be read bills $0 and says why. Items are deduplicated by link across all feeds, so the same article shared by two feeds is saved once.

Honest limits

  • content is provided only by feeds that publish full text (content:encoded / Atom content); most give a summary only.
  • enclosure appears on podcast/media feeds; text and news feeds have none.
  • categories are optional in the RSS/Atom spec - many feeds carry none.

Pricing

$0.001 per item on the FREE tier (tiered pricing lowers it with volume). Only items actually saved are billed; unreachable feeds and unreadable imports cost nothing.

Output views

  • Items - title, link, author, published, feed and summary.

Use with AI assistants (MCP)

Available through the Apify MCP server - an agent can watch a set of feeds, pull the latest posts, or turn any list of feeds into a clean dataset in one call.

Agent-ready: autonomous payments (x402 & Skyfire)

This actor is agent-ready - AI agents can discover it, run it, and pay for it autonomously, with no Apify account and no human in the loop. It uses pay-per-event pricing and limited permissions, so it qualifies for Apify's agentic-payment standards:

  • x402 - an open, HTTP-native payment protocol. Agents pay per run in USDC on the Base network directly through the Apify MCP server - no account, no API key.
  • Skyfire - agent-to-service payments for fully autonomous AI-agent workflows.

Building an AI agent, MCP tool, or autonomous data pipeline? This scraper is ready to plug in and pay as it goes.
