Aldi Australia Scraper
Scrapes products and prices from ALDI Australia. You can search the same way as on the website, download every product in a category, or both: a search limited to a category. Prices and range come from the Aldi store you choose.
Input
Set a search term, a category, or both. Without a store, prices come from the store the website shows a new visitor, Glenmore Park (NSW).
| Parameter | Options | Description |
|---|---|---|
searchTerm | (optional) Text to search for | One search, like the search box on the website. Returns the same products, in the same order, as the website. Like the website, Aldi matches each word on its own, so frozen pizza also returns products that match only frozen. |
category | (optional) Category ID, e.g. 950000000, or a category page URL | Every product in this category or subcategory. With a search term, keeps only the results in it, like the website's Category filter. In a URL only the ID after /k/ matters, so https://www.aldi.com.au/products/fruits-vegetables/k/950000000 and https://www.aldi.com.au/anything/k/950000000 are the same category. |
store | (optional) Suburb or postcode of an Aldi store, e.g. Cannington or 6107 | Uses this store's prices and range. Must be a suburb or postcode that has an Aldi store, as in the store finder. In a postcode with several stores, the first one Aldi lists is used. If no store matches, the run fails and lists the store finder's suggestions. |
Example using a search query:
{"searchTerm": "cheese"}
Example using a category (a pasted category URL works too):
{"category": "https://www.aldi.com.au/products/dairy-eggs-fridge/cheese/k/1111111163"}
Example searching within a category, at a store in Perth:
{"searchTerm": "cheese","category": "960000000","store": "Cannington"}
Categories
The top-level categories and their IDs. A subcategory's ID is the one after /k/ in its URL on
the website, e.g. 1111111163 in /products/dairy-eggs-fridge/cheese/k/1111111163. Seasonal
categories come and go.

Output
- Dataset: one item per product, as Aldi returns it, plus the product page
urland the mainimage. Image links are filled in at their largest size. Search results also carrysearch_term. STORE(key-value store): what was requested and which store served the data, e.g.{"requested": "Cannington", "id": "G063", "name": "1383 Albany Highway", "city": "Cannington", "postcode": "6107", "state": "WA"}.FAILED_REQUESTS(key-value store, only when some requests failed): the URL and error of each failed page. If any page failed, the run fails rather than returning an incomplete dataset as a success.
