Google Hotels API & Scraper — prices, ratings & deals

Google Hotels Scraper is a pay-per-result API that returns Google Hotels search results for any destination and dates: nightly and total price in your currency, Google's deal badge ("23% less than usual"), star class, guest rating and review count, what reviewers say about service, location, cleanliness and more, amenities, coordinates, nearby places with travel times, photos and a direct Google Hotels link. Hotels and vacation rentals are both supported.

In short

  • What it is: a Google Hotels API for price monitoring and hotel data, without running a browser or managing proxies.
  • Best for: hotel price tracking, revenue management and rate benchmarking, travel apps and comparison sites, market research and AI travel agents.
  • How it works: it uses the same search data endpoint as the Google Hotels website, so there is no page rendering. Runs are fast and cheap, and a blocked session is retried automatically on a fresh one.
  • Reliability: in our tests on the Apify platform (September 2026), 300 of 300 hotels were returned for 5 destinations on 3 continents, in EUR, in 22 seconds, with zero retries.
  • Price: $0.003 per hotel returned. Failed searches are never charged.
  • Works with AI agents: callable via REST API, Python and JavaScript clients, and as an MCP tool in Claude, Cursor, VS Code and other MCP clients.

What data does it return?

How to use it

1. In Apify Console (no code)

Enter one or more destinations, your dates and currency, and click Start. Download the results as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML.

2. Python

from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("<YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN>")
run = client.actor("signalmine/google-hotels-scraper").call(run_input={
"searchQueries": ["Lisbon", "hotels near Times Square New York"],
"checkInDate": "2026-12-04",
"checkOutDate": "2026-12-07",
"currency": "EUR",
"maxResultsPerQuery": 60,
})
for hotel in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
print(hotel["name"], hotel["pricePerNightDisplay"], hotel["rating"])

3. JavaScript / Node.js

import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
const client = new ApifyClient({ token: process.env.APIFY_TOKEN });
const run = await client.actor('signalmine/google-hotels-scraper').call({
searchQueries: ['Tokyo'],
checkInDate: '2026-11-10',
checkOutDate: '2026-11-13',
currency: 'USD',
});
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
console.log(items);

4. REST API (one call, results in the response)

curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/signalmine~google-hotels-scraper/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=$APIFY_TOKEN" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"searchQueries": ["Barcelona"], "checkInDate": "2026-12-04", "checkOutDate": "2026-12-07", "currency": "EUR"}'

5. AI agents via MCP (Claude, Cursor, VS Code)

{
"mcpServers": {
"google-hotels": {
"url": "https://mcp.apify.com?tools=signalmine/google-hotels-scraper",
"headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer <YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN>" }
}
}
}

Then ask your assistant things like "Find 4-star hotels in Lisbon for December 4–7 under 150 EUR a night with a rating above 4.5" or "Which hotels near Times Square are cheaper than usual next weekend?"

FAQ

Is there a Google Hotels API? Google does not offer a public API for Google Hotels search results; its travel partner APIs are for hotels and partners managing their own inventory. This Actor gives you the search results as an API: call it over REST, from Python or JavaScript, or as an MCP tool.

Can I get prices in my currency? Yes. Set currency to an ISO code such as USD, EUR, GBP or JPY and prices come back in that currency.

What price is returned? The lowest nightly price Google shows for your dates and number of adults, plus the total for the stay. Properties with no availability for those dates come back without a price.

How many hotels can I get per destination? As many as Google lists for the search, collected automatically about 20 per page. Set maxResultsPerQuery to control volume and cost.

Does it include vacation rentals? Yes. Rentals include named amenities and details such as bedrooms, bathrooms, capacity and size.

What are amenityCodes? Google's numeric amenity IDs for hotels. Vacation rentals also include named amenities.

Can AI assistants use it? Yes. It works as an MCP tool in Claude, Cursor, VS Code and any MCP-compatible client through https://mcp.apify.com?tools=signalmine/google-hotels-scraper.

Is it legal to scrape Google Hotels? This Actor collects publicly available information about businesses (hotels), not personal data. You are responsible for using the data in line with applicable laws and Google's terms.
