Give me plain UTF-8 opinion text, or a public HTTP(S) text URL, and I reliably return normalized supported full case citations with the exact source citation, offsets, paragraph number, and page number when the text uses form-feed page markers. Supported forms are full Case v. Case, volume reporter page[, pinpoint] (court/year) citations; unsupported patterns are omitted rather than claimed as normalized.
Submit one or more sources through the items array. Each item may contain rawText, sourceUrl, or fileUrl; rawText takes precedence when supplied. A failed item is isolated from successful siblings.
Output and repeatability
The default dataset contains one record per supported citation. Records include stable document and citation identifiers, SHA-256 hashes, exact source offsets, source provenance, and deterministic citation order for identical input text.
The default key-value store record SUMMARY contains the aggregate run status, submitted-document count, total citation count, per-document outcomes, and a UTC processedAt timestamp. processedAt is volatile metadata; it is not part of stable citation identity.
Supported reporter spellings are limited to U.S./U. S., S. Ct., F.2d, F.3d, F.4th, F. Supp., F. Supp. 2d, F. Supp. 3d, and Mass.. The Actor removes the tested sentence lead-ins See, In, Compare, Under, Accord, and Contra from case names.
Limitations: it does not support short forms, id./supra, statutes, regulations, neutral citations, slip-opinion citation formats, parallel citations, ranges, en/em dashes in pinpoints, Bluebook completeness, OCR/PDF parsing, or jurisdiction-specific rules beyond the listed reporter forms. Unsupported reporter formats are omitted rather than returned as normalized.
Billing and limits
One document-converted event is charged only after a document produces supported output saved to the dataset. Empty or failed documents are not charged. Platform costs are included; no start or automatic dataset-item charge. Up to 25 documents, 2 MB UTF-8 text per document, and a 120-second run timeout. The Actor stops at the spending limit. Public text downloads must be accessible without credentials.
