European Financial Comparison

Search seven European financial comparison sites in a single run. This actor queries each site in parallel, normalizes banking, insurance and utility offers to a common schema, and removes duplicates. One search across multiple national financial markets.

European financial comparison is a largely uncovered vertical on the Apify Store. No login. No cookies. No account.

What it does

  • Searches 7 European financial comparison sites at once: MoneySuperMarket (GB), Verivox (DE), Comparis (CH), Moneyland (CH), Bankmonitor (HU), Bonkers (IE), Durchblicker (AT).
  • Normalizes every offer to a common schema (product name, provider, product type, rate, fee, amount).
  • Deduplicates by offer URL and sorts results by country and product name.
  • Covers banking, insurance, mortgages, loans and utility tariffs depending on what each site exposes for your query.

How to scrape European financial comparison data

  1. Enter a product in the Search Query field, for example savings account, mortgage, car insurance, or electricity.
  2. Optionally restrict to certain countries with the Countries field (for example ["DE", "AT"]). Leave it empty to query every site.
  3. Set Max Items Per Site to control how many offers are pulled from each site.
  4. Run the actor. Each site is queried in parallel, offers are normalized and deduplicated.
  5. Open the dataset. Each row is one unique offer with the site it came from.

Input

FieldTypeDescription
searchQuerystringFinancial product to search for. Defaults to savings account.
countriesarrayOptional country filter. Empty means all sites.
maxItemsPerSiteintegerMax offers per site (1–200, default 20).
timeoutPerSiteSecsintegerMax seconds to wait per site (30–600, default 120).
proxyConfigurationobjectProxy settings passed to the underlying scrapers. Residential recommended.

Example input

{
"searchQuery": "mortgage",
"countries": ["DE", "AT", "CH"],
"maxItemsPerSite": 25,
"proxyConfiguration": { "useApifyProxy": true, "apifyProxyGroups": ["RESIDENTIAL"] }
}

Output

Each item in the dataset is one unique financial offer:

{
"productName": "Online Savings Account",
"provider": "ING",
"productType": "savings",
"rate": "3.10% AER",
"fee": "0",
"amount": null,
"currency": "EUR",
"country": "DE",
"url": "https://...",
"source": "Verivox",
"scrapedAt": "2026-06-15T18:00:00.000Z"
}
FieldDescription
productNameName of the financial product.
providerBank, insurer or provider behind the offer, if available.
productTypeCategory such as savings, mortgage, loan, insurance, utility.
rateInterest rate, APR or yield as listed, if available.
feeFee or monthly cost as listed, if available.

sourceName of the site the offer came from.

A final __SUMMARY__ item lists which sites answered, which failed, the total unique offers, and how many duplicates were removed.

How deduplication works

Offers are deduplicated by their URL, falling back to a source-plus-product-name key when no URL is present. The first occurrence of each unique offer is kept. Because financial products differ from country to country, offers are aggregated into one feed rather than matched as the same product across borders.

Use cases

  • Monitoring banking, insurance and utility rates across several European markets at once.
  • Building a financial-rates dataset for a comparison or fintech product.
  • Tracking how provider offers change over time by running on a schedule.
  • Cross-border research into product availability and pricing.

Notes

  • This is a meta-actor. It orchestrates our individual national financial-comparison scrapers and runs them in parallel, so a single run can cover several markets at once.
  • Field coverage varies a lot by site and product. Rate, fee and amount are populated where the underlying site exposes them.
  • Coverage for a query depends on each underlying site returning results. Use the common product name for the country you are targeting.
  • Use residential proxies for the most reliable results.

Cost and performance

The cost depends on the number of results and the complexity of the pages being scraped. As a rough guide:

  • Simple product listings: ~0.25 compute units per 1,000 results
  • Detailed product pages: ~1-2 compute units per 1,000 results

The actual cost depends on your Apify subscription plan. Check the Apify pricing page for details.
