Fnac Scraper

Pulls product data from fnac.com, France's major electronics, books and entertainment retailer. Works with search queries, category pages and direct product URLs.

What you get

For each product on a search or category page: name, price, struck-through price, Fnac card member price, stock status and availability text, seller, star rating, review count, image, the key specs shown on the card, and the Fnac product id. Category rows also carry brand and category when fnac shows them.

For a product URL you paste, the actor reads the product page and adds brand, SKU, EAN, description and the breadcrumb category.

Rows are read straight from the listing cards, 20 products per page, and the actor follows the pages until it reaches maxResults or the end of the list.

Cost

It charges $0.02 per run (start fee, based on its 4 GB memory allocation) plus $0.002 per result scraped. 100 results cost about $0.22; 1,000 results about $2.02. A run's usage cost only settles after it reports SUCCEEDED.

Notes

• fnac.com is protected by DataDome. The actor loads pages through an unblocking service, so you do not need to configure a proxy.
• fnac shows two listing designs and switches between them from page to page. The newer design does not show the brand, so brand and category are filled on part of the listing rows only. Paste product URLs if you need brand and EAN on every row.
• A search with no matching products ends SUCCEEDED with 0 rows and the message "Fnac has no products matching ...". You are not charged for results.
• The site is in French. Category names and spec labels are returned as shown on the page.
• The old laptop category URL https://www.fnac.com/informatique/ordinateur-portable no longer exists; the actor uses the current laptop category instead and logs a warning.
