Technical details
Product data is extracted primarily from JSON-LD @graph arrays embedded in Gigantti's pages (standard across the Elkjop platform). Falls back to HTML meta tags when JSON-LD is missing. Ratings on a scale other than 1-5 are automatically normalized.
Product URLs on Gigantti contain /product/, /tuote/, or /p/ path segments.
Cost
HTTP scraper, around $0.25 per 1,000 products.
Limitations
- Finnish-language site. Product names, categories, and descriptions are in Finnish.
- Pagination is attempted via
?page=Nincrementing. Some category layouts may not paginate correctly.
