Jobbird Scraper

Extract job listings from jobbird.com, a major Dutch job board, as clean structured JSON. Search by keyword and get job titles, companies, locations, salary, hours, benefits and full descriptions in one run.

No login. No cookies. No browser automation. The actor reads jobbird.com's own sitemap to find listings, then parses the JobPosting structured data embedded on each job page — the same data Google reads to power its job search results.

What this actor does

Given a search keyword, this actor finds matching job listings on jobbird.com and returns one row per job with:

  • Job title
  • Hiring company and company website
  • Workplace city, region, postal code and coordinates
  • Employment type (fulltime, parttime, temporary, ...) and weekly hours
  • Salary range and period, when the recruiter published one
  • Benefits text
  • Full job description
  • Posted date and expiry date
  • Company logo and direct job URL

jobbird.com is one of the larger general job boards in the Netherlands, complementing government boards like Werk.nl and staffing agencies like Randstad already in this catalog.

Why use it

  • Job market research — track how many roles match a keyword across the Dutch market.
  • Recruitment and sourcing — build a live feed of open positions for a role, sector or region.
  • Salary benchmarking — the small share of listings with a published salary give a real market signal per role.
  • Aggregators and job boards — feed Dutch listings into your own product.

How to scrape Jobbird data

  1. Open the actor and set a Search Query (for example logistiek, verkoop, software developer, verpleegkundige). Dutch keywords work best since jobbird.com is a Dutch board. Multiple words are matched as an AND against the job title.
  2. Set Max Results to how many listings you want.
  3. Leave the proxy on the default automatic setting and click Start.

The actor first reads jobbird.com's XML sitemap to find job URLs whose title slug matches your search query, then fetches each matching detail page and parses the structured JobPosting data (the same schema.org markup jobbird.com feeds to Google for its job-search rich results) plus the full description. Results are written to the dataset as they're collected. Export as JSON, CSV or Excel.

Leave Search Query empty (or use {} as input) and the actor falls back to a default logistiek search, so a run with no input still returns data. Set it to * to fetch listings from the sitemap with no keyword filter at all.

Input

FieldTypeDescription
searchQuerystringKeyword to filter job titles by. Dutch works best. Default: logistiek. Use * for no filter.
maxResultsintegerMaximum number of listings to return. Default: 50.
proxyConfigurationobjectApify proxy settings. jobbird.com has no anti-bot protection, so the default automatic proxy is sufficient — no residential tier needed.

{
"searchQuery": "logistiek",
"maxResults": 50,
"proxyConfiguration": {
"useApifyProxy": true
}
}

Cost estimate

This actor uses plain HTTP requests (sitemap XML + server-rendered detail pages) with no browser, so runs are cheap and fast. Each result costs one detail-page request plus a small, shared, one-time cost for the sitemap pages at the start of a run. Exact cost depends on your Apify plan and proxy usage — check your run's usage summary for the exact figure. That figure only settles after the run reports SUCCEEDED; reading it mid-run shows a cost far below the eventual total.

Limitations

  • Salary is only populated when the recruiter filled it in on jobbird.com — most listings leave it blank, so salaryMin/salaryMax/salaryCurrency/salaryPeriod are null on the majority of results. This is a fact about the source data, not a scraping gap.
  • Search matches the job title slug, not the full description — jobbird.com's own listing/search pages are disallowed by robots.txt (Disallow: /nl/vacature?*), so this actor works entirely off the sitemap and detail pages instead, which is robots-compliant but means keyword matching happens against the title rather than a full-text search index.
  • Only currently open listings are scraped — jobbird.com's sitemap also lists a parallel set of closed/expired postings, which this actor skips since they aren't actionable.

Building a Dutch or European jobs dataset? These sibling actors follow the same clean-JSON approach:

  • Werk.nl Scraper — the Dutch public employment service's job board
  • Randstad Scraper — pan-European staffing agency listings
  • AMS Scraper — Austria's public employment service job board
  • Jobbasel.ch Scraper — Basel-region Swiss job board
  • Ostjob.ch Scraper — Eastern Switzerland regional job board
