What does Werkzoeken.nl Scraper do?

Werkzoeken.nl Scraper extracts job listings from Werkzoeken.nl, one of the Netherlands' major job boards (part of the Vacatures Online B.V. network, alongside Technicus.nl and ICTergezocht.nl). It collects job titles, companies, locations, salary ranges, hours, contract types, education/experience requirements, and posting dates. No login or cookies required.

Use it on the Apify platform to get structured Dutch job market data via API, schedule recurring scrapes, and integrate with tools like Zapier, Make, Google Sheets, and Slack.

How to scrape Werkzoeken.nl data

  1. Go to the Werkzoeken.nl Scraper on the Apify Store.
  2. Click Try for free to open the actor in the Apify Console.
  3. Enter a search query in Dutch (e.g. administratief, chauffeur, verpleegkundige).
  4. Optionally enter a location (e.g. Amsterdam, Rotterdam) to narrow results by city.
  5. Set the maximum number of results you want.
  6. Click Start and wait for the run to finish.
  7. Download your data as JSON, CSV, Excel, or HTML from the Output tab.

Why use Werkzoeken.nl Scraper?

  • Recruitment and hiring — Monitor job postings across sectors and regions to understand hiring trends in the Netherlands.
  • Salary research — Collect disclosed salary ranges across roles and cities to benchmark compensation.
  • Market analysis — Track which sectors and companies are hiring most, and where demand is concentrated geographically.
  • Lead generation — Identify companies actively hiring to target with B2B recruitment or HR-tech services.
  • Academic research — Gather structured Dutch labor market data for economic or sociological studies.

Input

FieldTypeRequiredDescription
searchQueryStringNoJob search keyword in Dutch (e.g. administratief, chauffeur). Defaults to administratief if left empty.
locationStringNoCity to filter by (e.g. Amsterdam, Rotterdam). Applied client-side against the fetched results (the site has no server-side location search URL) — leave empty for all of the Netherlands.
maxResultsIntegerNoMaximum number of job listings to scrape (default: 100, max: 2000).
brightDataApiKeyStringNoOptional: your own Bright Data API key for the Web Unlocker zone. Leave empty to use the built-in unlocking service.
proxyConfigurationObjectNoLegacy field, kept for backwards compatibility. Fetching now goes through the built-in Bright Data Web Unlocker, so this is ignored.

Output

Each result is a single job listing. You can download the dataset in various formats such as JSON, HTML, CSV, or Excel.

Cost estimate

This actor makes a single HTTP request per run (no browser, one Bright Data Web Unlocker call that returns up to maxResults worth of listings in one fetch). At standard Apify pricing, expect roughly $2 per 1,000 job listings; a run's usage cost only settles after the run reports SUCCEEDED.

Tips

  • Use specific Dutch search terms — the site's search matches on job title and keyword text, so verpleegkundige returns more relevant results than zorg.
  • Combine searchQuery with location to target regional hiring (e.g. chauffeur + Rotterdam for logistics roles near the port).
  • Set maxResults to a reasonable number to control run time — each page of 50 results takes roughly a second to fetch after the initial page loads.
  • Schedule recurring runs to track new job postings daily or weekly.

Limitations

  • Salary data is only present on listings where the employer disclosed a range — not all jobs show a salaryRaw value.
  • postedRaw is the site's own relative date text (e.g. "13 dagen geleden"), not a normalized ISO date — the site does not expose an absolute posting date on the listing.
  • Full job description text is not included in this build (only listing-level structured fields) — the site's detail pages sit behind a stricter part of its Cloudflare protection.
  • location filtering happens after the fetch (substring match against each listing's location), not as a site-side search parameter — a narrow location combined with a broad searchQuery can return fewer than maxResults if the site doesn't have enough matching listings in the fetched batch.
  • Data is scraped from the public website and may change without notice.

Integrations

Connect Werkzoeken.nl Scraper with your existing tools and workflows:

  • Google Sheets — Export job listings directly to a spreadsheet for easy filtering and sharing.
  • Slack — Get notified when new jobs matching your criteria appear.
  • Zapier / Make — Build workflows that react to new job postings in real time.
  • Custom API — Access all results programmatically via the Apify API in JSON format.
