Whiteaway Scraper

Scrapes products from Whiteaway.com, the Danish retailer for washing machines, dishwashers, fridges and other home appliances. Each row has the name, brand, price in DKK, the price before a campaign, stock status, rating, energy class and the product URL.

You can search the way you would on whiteaway.com (a Danish word or a brand), or paste a category page URL.

Notes on the fields:

• price is the price on the product card, in Danish kroner, as a number.
• originalPrice and discountPercentage are only filled when the product is on sale. Otherwise they are null.
• inStock is null when Whiteaway does not say. It is never guessed.
• rating is null for products with no reviews.
• energyClass is null for products without an EU energy label (accessories, small appliances).

How it works

The actor loads the search or category page and reads the product list the page itself is built from. Whiteaway shows 10 products per page and loads the next 10 when you press the "show more" button. The actor asks for those next pages the same way, until it reaches maxResults or the end of the list.

A search that matches nothing ends the run as SUCCEEDED with 0 results and a status message saying so. A category URL that does not exist ends the run as FAILED with a message about the URL.

The usage cost of a run settles only after the run has SUCCEEDED. A run that fails or is aborted is not charged per result for rows it did not deliver.

Tips for best results

• Start with maxResults: 10 to check the rows look like what you need
• Use the Danish word. vaskemaskine finds washing machines, washing machine returns mostly unrelated products
• A category URL gives you exactly that category. A search also returns related products (a search for vaskemaskine includes washer-dryers)
• Keep the default Danish residential proxy. Whiteaway refuses some non-Danish and datacenter IP addresses with "Access denied"

FAQ and support

Is it legal to scrape Whiteaway? This actor reads publicly available product pages. Check Whiteaway's terms of service before you use the data commercially, and keep request volumes reasonable.

Why did I get fewer results than maxResults? The search or category has fewer products than you asked for. The status message tells you how many products matched.

Can I scrape a single product? Search for its model number with maxResults: 1.

Which country does it cover? whiteaway.com is the Danish shop, so prices are in DKK.

The run says "Access denied" in the log. Whiteaway refused one proxy address. The actor retries on a fresh address on its own. If every attempt fails, check that the proxy is set to Danish residential.
