Scrape Yelp business details — name, rating, review counts, price range, categories, full address, phone, website, hours, GPS coordinates — or full review text with mode: "reviews": rating, date, review body, author stats, useful/funny/cool votes, owner replies, and photos.

What you get

Two modes, one Actor:

• business mode (default) — one row per business: ratings, review counts, price range, categories, address, phone, website, hours of operation, and GPS coordinates. Ideal for lead generation, local SEO, and competitive analysis.
• reviews mode — one row per review: star rating, full review text, date, author name/location/friend/review/photo counts, useful/funny/cool votes, the owner's reply, and review photos. Filter by star rating (e.g. only 1-3 star complaints) and choose the sort (newest, lowest rated, ...).

Both modes accept direct Yelp URLs or business aliases, or search queries (e.g., "best pizza new york") that the scraper resolves to Yelp business pages automatically.

Limitations

• Primarily US-focused — Yelp's strongest market. International coverage is thin.
• Reviews mode returns the reviews Yelp shows publicly ("recommended" reviews); Yelp's hidden "not recommended" reviews are not included.
• Yelp sits behind DataDome, so each business needs a real browser session; a business occasionally needs a retry on a fresh proxy session, which the Actor does automatically.
• Some smaller businesses have incomplete data (missing hours, website, or coordinates).
• Search mode resolves Yelp URLs via Google, so search-query results depend on Google's index for that business.
• Very new or unclaimed listings occasionally lack phone or website data on Yelp itself.

FAQ

Can I just pass business names instead of Yelp URLs? Yes — use searchQueries. Each query becomes a Google search for the matching Yelp business page. For known businesses, passing the slug directly via businessUrls is faster and more reliable.

Does this include review text? Yes — set mode to reviews. Each row is one review with the full text, rating, date, author stats, votes, owner reply, and photos. The default business mode returns only the aggregate rating and review count.

Can I get only negative reviews? Yes — in reviews mode set ratings to [1, 2, 3] and reviewSort to lowest_rated so the matching reviews come first.

Can I scrape non-US businesses? Yelp does cover some international cities, but coverage and data quality drop significantly outside the US.

How fresh is the data? Pulled live at run time — as fresh as Yelp itself.
