Verified 2026-10-31: register CSV updated every weekday (latest observed: 2026-10-30). The asset URL changes with each update; the Actor locates the current CSV from the publication page at run time.
Crown copyright, reused under the Open Government Licence v3.0 (attribution required).
Full register observed: 143,198 rows, ~11 MB CSV.

What the register does and does not contain

Fields available: organisation name, town/city, county, type & rating, sponsorship route. NOT available: industry/SIC codes, live vacancies, whether an organisation is hiring or willing to sponsor. Do not market industry filtering or job matching. Output is factual register data only and is not immigration advice.

Change tracking

Compares the current run's filtered matches with the previous run's (stored in the default key-value store). The first run saves a baseline and reports no added/removed lists - historical diffs are impossible without a prior snapshot.

Local development

npm test - deterministic unit tests (node:test, no dependencies) against real fixtures: fixtures/register-sample.csv (300 real rows incl. quoted/comma names) and fixtures/publication-page.html (real gov.uk page saved 2026-10-31).
Core logic in src/lib.js is dependency-free; the Apify SDK is only used in src/main.js.

Known follow-ups before deploy

npm install then apify push from an authenticated machine (deployment worker owns).
Pricing unit deliberately NOT set here: per-returned-row vs per-run/per-alert trade-offs differ from the payment detector and need an owner decision.
Attribution line for OGL must appear on the store page; also emitted in the run OUTPUT record.
