For customs brokers, freight forwarders, importers and ESG consultants. Paste a year of imports for any number of importers and get, for each one: whether they stay under the CBAM 50-tonne threshold or the whole year falls into scope, the certificate cost at official EU default values vs. the supplier's actual emissions, the money each supplier's data is worth, and the 2027 quarterly certificate holding plan. Add supplier companies and get their Voluntary Standard (VS, formerly VSME) Basic Module figures (energy, Scope 1 and 2, B1-B11) plus a check of every question a large customer sent them against the EU value-chain cap.
- ⚖️ 50-tonne cliff tracker: running total per importer, the exact shipment that crosses 50 t, tonnes left, and the whole-year exposure if it is crossed (Regulation (EU) 2025/2083)
- 📊 Official numbers only: 11,670 country default values (Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/2621 as corrected by 2026/1740), 570 CBAM benchmarks (2025/2620), the Commission's 2026 certificate prices
- 💶 Default vs. actual: certificates and cost both ways, the saving from actual supplier data, and what every 0.1 t CO2e/t less is worth
- 🗓️ Quarterly holding plan from 2027: certificates to hold at each quarter end (50 % rule, after free allocation)
- ✉️ Supplier data-request letters per supplier still on default values, with the euro amount at stake
- 🌱 VS / VSME supplier data: energy, Scope 1 (IPCC fuel factors), Scope 2 location-based (country grid factors) and an approximate market-based figure, accidents rate, training hours, in a B1-B11 table
- 🛡️ Value-chain cap check: every questionnaire item marked within the cap, voluntary for micro companies, outside the cap or not part of the standard, plus a polite response notice (Delegated Regulation (EU) 2026/1560)
- 🧾 Branded print-ready packs in your company's name and colours, one per importer or supplier
- 📦 Batch mode: all your clients in one run
Example (the default input)
| Importer | Threshold goods 2026 | Status | Estimated CBAM cost | Saved by one supplier's actual data |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rhein Fasteners GmbH (4 steel shipments: CN, IN, TR) | 54.5 t | In scope: crossed 50 t on 30 Aug, whole year counts | EUR 11,921 (EUR 15,753 at default values) | EUR 3,832 |
| Baltic Garden Supplies OU (fertiliser + cement) | 41.5 t | Exempt, but only 8.5 t left; crossing would cost about EUR 2,123 | EUR 0 | - |
Supplier "Demo Metal Parts" (42 employees, Poland): Scope 1 = 33.0 t CO2e, Scope 2 (location) = 223.7 t CO2e. Of 8 questions from its customer, 4 are within the value-chain cap (energy, GHG, human rights policy, accidents) and 4 are not (Scope 3, climate risks, external audit, board gender diversity).
How to use it
- Put your clients' imports in CBAM shipments: one line per import with
importerName,cnCode, netMassTonnes, originCountryIso,importDate. AddsupplierNameand, when you have them,actualSpecificEmissionsTCO2PerTonne,actualSefaTCO2PerTonneandforeignCarbonPricePaidEUR. - Optional: add Supplier companies with their energy, fuel and workforce figures and the
clientQuestionnaireItemsa customer sent them. - Set Maximum branded packs (0 = figures only) and your branding, then click Start.
- Download the results (Excel, CSV, JSON); open the packs from the
packUrllinks or the Output tab and print them to PDF.

Pricing
Pay per event, no subscription.
| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| Shipment calculated, or one supplier company's VS figures and questionnaire check | $0.10 |
| Branded compliance pack (one importer or one company), up to Maximum branded packs | $5.00 |
Examples:
- Default run (6 shipments, 1 company, no packs): 7 × $0.10 = $0.70
- A broker's monthly batch, 30 importers × 40 shipments with a pack each: 1,200 × $0.10 + 30 × $5.00 = $270
- One importer, 25 shipments, 1 pack: $7.50
Runs are paid from your Apify balance; the free plan's $5 monthly credit covers several default runs. Use Maximum cost per run in the run options to set a hard cap: the Actor plans the run to stay inside it, keeps whole importers together (the threshold needs all of an importer's shipments) and stops cleanly at the limit.
Method and sources
- Threshold: Regulation (EU) 2025/2083: 50 tonnes per importer per calendar year across cement, fertilisers, iron and steel, aluminium; once crossed, all of that year's imports of those goods are in scope. Hydrogen and electricity are never exempt.
- Default values: Annex I to Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/2621, as corrected by Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/1740 (Commission Excel of 6 August 2026), "total emissions" column; the country value, else "Other countries and territories". Mark-up: 10 % (2026), 20 % (2027), 30 % (2028 on) for cement, iron and steel, aluminium, hydrogen; 1 % for fertilisers.
- Free allocation adjustment: Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/2620 and Commission Guidance No. 4: CBAM benchmark (column B, chosen by the production route in the default value table) × CBAM factor (97.5 % in 2026, 95 % in 2027) × cross-sectoral correction factor.
- Certificates = embedded emissions − free allocation adjustment − carbon price paid abroad; priced at the Commission's 2026 quarterly prices (Q1 EUR 75.36, Q2 EUR 75.28, Q3 EUR 82.32) unless you enter another price.
- Quarterly holding (from 31 March 2027): 50 % of the embedded emissions of goods imported since 1 January, at default values without mark-up and after the free allocation adjustment.
- VS / VSME: Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2026/1560 (in force 24 September 2026). Value-chain cap: Annex II data points only for undertakings up to 1,000 employees; no Comprehensive Module data point for 10 employees or fewer, and B3, B6 and B7 voluntary for them. The cap covers requests made for CSRD reporting, not bank questionnaires, tenders or voluntary surveys.
- Emission factors: fuels from the IPCC 2006 Guidelines (default CO2 factors and net calorific values); electricity from Ember via Our World in Data (latest year, lifecycle, CC BY 4.0) or your own factor (
gridFactorKgPerKwh).
Honest limits
- These are planning estimates, not legal or tax advice. The CBAM Registry and your competent authority set the final figures; the Commission's Excel files are informational and the regulations are binding.
- Give full 8-digit CN codes: shorter codes use the highest matching default value and are flagged.
- With actual emissions but no SEFA from the producer, the free allocation is estimated from the default benchmark (flagged).
- Precursor-level calculations for complex goods with actual data are not modelled: use the producer's verified SEE and SEFA.
- Questionnaire items are matched to disclosures by keywords; borderline questions should be checked against the Annex II wording.
