Swedish Company Financials — Bokslutsrapporter (iXBRL)

Independent tool, not affiliated with Bolagsverket (Swedish Companies Registration Office).

Extract financial details for Swedish companies from their annual reports — the actual bokslutsrapporter filed with Bolagsverket. The actor parses the official iXBRL documents from Bolagsverket's free Värdefulla datamängder file share and turns them into clean, structured JSON: revenue, profit, balance sheet, equity, solidity and every other reported figure — with the comparative columns preserved (2–3 years per report; a company's full filing history across reports covers more). Official open data — no API key, no login, no agreement.

Why Swedish Company Financials?

  • 📊 Real filed accounts, not estimates — figures come from the annual reports companies actually submitted (K2, K3 and ESEF).
  • 📈 Multi-year series per report — every comparative column in the report is preserved per concept.
  • 🧠 Verdicts, not just numbers — net/operating margin, growth and risk flags (förlust, låg/negativ soliditet, fallande omsättning, negativt eget kapital) computed per report.
  • 🧾 Every reported figure — mapped key figures for common needs, plus all raw iXBRL facts when you want the full statement.
  • 🇸🇪 Authoritative source — Bolagsverket's open data file share, free of charge, updated weekly since 2020.

Use cases

Credit assessment · counterparty due diligence · market screening · feed for accounting/valuation tools · historical financial datasets

What data you get?

🏷️ FieldDescription
🆔 orgnr / 📅 periodEndCompany and account period
🏢 nameCompany name (from the report)
💰 figuresMapped key figures actually extracted and validated: revenue, operatingRevenue, operatingProfit, profitBeforeTax, netIncome, equity, solidityRatio, shareCapital, operatingExpenses, grossProfit, inventory, longTermDebt, shortTermDebt, shortTermReceivables. Impossible values are never shipped — see warnings.
⚠️ figuresMissingEvery promised key figure that could not be derived from this report. Disclosed per report rather than silently omitted.
⚠️ warningsPer-report honesty log: values discarded as impossible (e.g. negative debt), percent→quotient conversions on Soliditet, and concepts we fell back on.
➕ derivedFields computed rather than read — e.g. totalAssets from the balance identity totalEquityAndLiabilities when the filing omits SummaTillgangar.
📈 seriesPer-concept values for every comparative period in the report (multi-year)
🔍 factsOptional: every raw iXBRL fact with concept, value, unit, period

Not reliably extracted (yet)

totalAssets, employees and cash did not appear in any of the first five live samples, even with aliases for SummaTillgangarEnligtBalansrakning, AntalAnstalldaVidRakenskapsaretsSlut, GenomsnittligtAntalAnstallda and LikviderBank. They are listed in figuresMissing when absent. totalAssets is filled by derivation from totalEquityAndLiabilities where that concept exists. Do not build on these three until coverage is measured across a full batch.

Honesty guarantees

  • pushed == 0 fails the run. An empty result is an error, never a SUCCEEDED.
  • Zero mapped figures ⇒ the report is not emitted, and the run logs it.
  • No impossible values: negative debt/assets/cash/share capital/headcount are discarded and disclosed.
  • Soliditet unit drift (percent vs quotient) is normalised and logged.
  • Growth is only computed between two full 12-month periods — stub and first periods produce meaningless figures like 1553%, so they are suppressed and explained.
  • A risk flag must be true of the business. A gap in our concept mapping becomes a warnings entry, never a flag accusing the company (e.g. ingen redovisad omsättning is never raised when the filing reports turnover under another concept).

How to use

  1. Add the actor to your Apify account and click Run.
  2. Either leave batchUrls empty and pick weeksBack (latest Bolagsverket weekly batches), or paste specific batch URLs.
  3. Optionally filter with orgnrList.
  4. Export results as JSON, CSV or Excel from the dataset view.

Amounts are SEK (unit is taken from each fact). Coverage starts in 2020 — that is when Bolagsverket began collecting digital annual reports. Not every company files digitally: older or paper-filed reports are not in the file share.
