What does eBay Product Details Scraper do?
eBay Product Details Scraper extracts publicly visible product information from eBay /itm/ pages across supported country sites. It parses structured product evidence and normalizes price, currency, condition, quantity, seller, shipping, ratings, category, identifiers, images, and description fields.
The Actor uses anonymous public HTTP only. It does not sign in, use private APIs, replay protected browser state, use mirrors, or bypass CAPTCHA, WAF, rate, device, login, paywall, or geographic controls. The dataset contains only source-backed product records; failures stay in run logs and summary metadata.
Input
Provide one or more public HTTPS eBay product URLs in Urls. The lower-case urls alias is also accepted; both arrays are deduplicated. URLs must use an official supported eBay host and an /itm/ path. timeoutSecs defaults to 30 seconds, maxBytes defaults to 5,000,000, and maxRetries defaults to one bounded retry for transient request failures. proxyConfiguration is optional and is reported through normal row provenance.
Unknown fields and type coercion are rejected. Test fixtures are never accepted as production input.
Output
Normal rows include recordType, recordId, sourceUrl, httpStatus, accessStatus, ok, found, dataAvailable, usedProxy, sourceTransport, url, and scrapedAt, followed by product-domain fields such as product_title, product_url, product_price, currency, original_price, discount, best_offer, product_condition, quantities, seller, shipping, identifiers, images, and description.
When public evidence is unavailable, the Actor records the issue in run logs and summary metadata. It does not add diagnostic rows to the dataset or convert a challenge page into a product row.
You can download the dataset in various formats such as JSON, HTML, CSV, or Excel.
Run summary
The OUTPUT_SUMMARY key-value record contains Apify status and runStatus (SUCCEEDED or FAILED), dataStatus (COMPLETE, PARTIAL, NO_RESULTS, or FAILED), dataset and diagnostic counts, unique-item count, source/request count, whether a public access boundary was detected, proxy usage, and completedAt. The Actor output links expose both the dataset and this summary.
Saved product records keep the run SUCCEEDED; dataStatus: PARTIAL reports later or per-URL failures. A clean empty result is SUCCEEDED with dataStatus: NO_RESULTS. A run that fails before saving a product record is FAILED.
How to use it
- Add one known public eBay item URL.
- Run with a small URL list and inspect the dataset.
- Check
OUTPUT_SUMMARYand run logs before scaling up.
Persistent captcha, access denied, rate limited, login, or other boundary diagnostics are limitations to respect, not signals to bypass.
Cost and privacy
Apify billing depends on compute time and storage used by your plan. The Actor only processes public page evidence. Public pages can still contain personal data; use results for a legitimate purpose and follow applicable laws and the source site's terms.
