eBay Scraper - Scrape eBay Products, Variants & Store Listings
eBay Scraper extracts full eBay product details - variants and stock, item specifics and product descriptions - from item URLs, and summary product listings from any eBay Store or seller page. No eBay account, login, or eBay API key required.
Use this eBay scraper to research products before sourcing, import products into your own shop, track a competitor's catalogue, or monitor eBay prices and stock across every eBay marketplace.
What is eBay Scraper and how does it work?
eBay Scraper is a web scraping tool that extracts data from eBay using item URLs or eBay Store / seller URLs - no category browsing required.
It runs in one of two modes, picked via the Mode input:
| Mode | Input used | Output |
|---|---|---|
product | productUrls | One row per eBay product, with full details and every variant |
sellerProducts | sellerUrls | One summary row per product found in the eBay Store's item grid |
Just paste one or more eBay URLs into the matching input field, pick a mode, and start the run. Results land in the dataset and can be downloaded as JSON, CSV or Excel, or pulled via the Apify API without ever opening the platform UI.
For a full field-by-field breakdown, see the Input tab.
What data can you scrape from eBay?
| Data | Where it comes from |
|---|---|
| Product title, item ID, seller name | eBay item page |
| Image gallery | eBay item page |
| Item specifics (brand, type, model, condition…) | Item specifics table |
| Price, original price, currency, price range | eBay's embedded product model |
| Variants: price, currency, discount, stock, image, option values | eBay's embedded product model |
Real stock level (quantityAvailable) | Quantity field maximum |
| Sold count | eBay item page |
| Product description (sanitized HTML) | itm.ebaydesc.com description iframe |
| eBay Store products (summary only): item ID, title, URL, image, price range, original price, currency | Store / seller item grid |
| Store name, slug, domain, pagination and total item count | Store page |
Why scrape eBay products?
➡️ Import eBay products into your own shop - title, images, item specifics, variants and descriptions in one structured row.
➡️ Monitor competitor prices and stock on eBay daily or hourly without manually opening products.
➡️ Track an eBay store's entire catalogue - everything a seller currently has listed, and at what price.
➡️ Feed a product database or repricing tool with clean, structured eBay data instead of raw HTML.
How much does it cost to scrape eBay?
This eBay scraper uses Apify's pay-per-event pricing - you're charged only for data actually returned, not for compute time:
| Event | Price | Fires when |
|---|---|---|
| Product | $0.004 | A product is successfully scraped in product mode |
| Store product | $0.002 | A summary product row (item ID, title, URL, image, price) is returned from a store grid in sellerProducts mode |
Failed items (a removed product, a blocked page, an invalid URL) are never charged - you only pay for rows that actually made it into your dataset. Fetching the product description is free — it's bundled into the product charge.
Run a small test batch first to get your actual per-item cost, then multiply by your expected volume.
Is it legal to scrape eBay?
Yes - scraping publicly available data such as product titles, prices, item specifics, or store products is legal. This eBay scraper only reads pages a normal shopper can already see; it doesn't log in, bypass paywalls, or access private data. Use the data responsibly and in line with eBay's own terms for your use case.
How to scrape eBay products
1. Scrape eBay product details
{"mode": "product","productUrls": [{ "url": "https://www.ebay.com/itm/397200450899" }],"fetchDescriptions": true}
Output (abridged):
{"success": true,"url": "https://www.ebay.com/itm/397200450899","itemId": "397200450899","title": "Makita XVJ04Z-R 18V LXT BL Cordless Jig Saw (Tool Only) Certified Refurbished","seller": "CPO Commerce","images": ["https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/OFMAAeSwt8NqTw9c/s-l1600.jpg"],"specifics": { "Brand": "Makita", "Type": "Jig Saws", "Voltage": "18 V" },"priceRange": { "min": 139.99, "max": 139.99, "currency": "USD" },"soldCount": 87,"description_iframe": "https://itm.ebaydesc.com/itmdesc/397200450899?t=0&category=111422","description_html": "<div class=\"ebay-desc\" style=\"overflow-x:auto;max-width:100%;\">…</div>","variantOptions": [{ "name": "Color", "values": ["Black", "White"] }],"variants": [{"variantId": "5011122233","name": "Black","price": 139.99,"priceText": "US $139.99","currency": "USD","originalPrice": null,"quantityAvailable": 12,"isAvailable": true,"image": "https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/OFMAAeSwt8NqTw9c/s-l1600.jpg","optionValues": [{ "name": "Color", "value": "Black" }]}]}
Notable details:
- Prices stay in the product's own currency. Nothing is converted, and eBay's own "localized" price is ignored in favour of the seller's original one.
- A product with no variations still returns exactly one variant, built from its main price - so you can treat every eBay product the same way.
quantityAvailableis the real stock level, read from the quantity field's maximum. eBay hides that number behind "More than 10 available" in the visible text.- Item specifics exclude page meta. Rows eBay renders with identical markup but that aren't product specifics (Quantity, Item number, Category, Postage, Payments…) are filtered out.
Best for: full eBay products you need to research, compare, or re-list elsewhere.
2. Scrape eBay Store products
sellerProducts mode reads the store's item grid, so each row carries only what a grid card shows: item ID, title, URL, image and price. Variants, item specifics, stock levels, sold count and descriptions are not part of a store row - they only exist on the item page itself.
{"mode": "sellerProducts","sellerUrls": [{ "url": "https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/thelabelsoutlet" }],"allPages": true,"maxPages": 5}
Output (one row per product):
{"success": true,"slug": "thelabelsoutlet","store": "The Label Outlet","domain": "ebay.co.uk","storeUrl": "https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/thelabelsoutlet","page": 1,"hasNextPage": true,"totalItems": 550,"itemId": "282997517914","title": "Sloggi Basic Maxi Brief Knickers 4 Pack 95% Cotton","url": "https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/282997517914","imageUrl": "https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/XukAAeSwn75qKsjH/s-l1600.jpg","price": 23.4,"priceMax": 36.0,"currency": "GBP","priceText": "£23.40 to £36.00","originalPrice": null}
Supported eBay store / seller URL formats:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/STORE_SLUG- store fronthttps://www.ebay.com/usr/SELLER_NAME- seller profilehttps://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_ssn=SELLER_NAME- search scoped to a sellerhttps://www.ebay.com/sch/SELLER_NAME/m.html- search by seller, legacy path form
Best for: tracking a competitor's or a supplier's full eBay catalogue, and for collecting the item URLs you want to scrape in depth.
Getting full details for a store's products
To get the full data for a store's products, run the two modes in sequence:
- Run
sellerProductson the store URL and collect theurlfield from each row. - Feed those URLs back in as
productUrlswithmode: "product"to get variants, item specifics, stock and descriptions.
Step 2 is billed per product at the full product rate, so scrape the store first and filter down to the items you actually care about before running it.
3. Scrape eBay product descriptions
eBay renders the product description inside a separate iframe, so it is not part of the item page. product mode always returns that iframe's URL as description_iframe; turn on Fetch product description to have the actor fetch and clean it into description_html as well.
The returned HTML is made safe to inject inline into your own page:
- all scripting removed -
<script>,on*handlers,javascript:/vbscript:URIs,expression(),@import; - unscopable globals removed - external stylesheets and
<meta>, plus forms, iframes and framesets; - every remaining CSS rule scoped to the fragment's own wrapper, so a seller's
body { … }rule restyles the description box instead of your whole page; - content, tables, inline styles and images kept, so it still looks like the original;
- relative image/link URLs rewritten to absolute so images keep loading.
description_html is null when the description wasn't requested or couldn't be fetched, and "" when the product genuinely has no description.
Why choose this eBay scraper
- No technical skill needed - just paste eBay links.
- Complete variant data - price, currency, discount, real stock level and image for every variation, straight from eBay's own product model.
- Descriptions you can actually use - sanitized and scope-isolated, not a raw iframe dump that breaks your page layout.
- Resilient to blocking - built-in residential proxy support and automatic retries on a fresh proxy keep runs stable at volume.
- Pay only for results - pay-per-event pricing means failed items cost nothing.
eBay scraping use cases
- One-click eBay product import - use
productmode with descriptions on to move a product into your own storefront. - eBay price and stock monitoring - run
productmode daily against your watch list to catch changes as they happen. - eBay store tracking - use
sellerProductswith Scrape all pages to see everything a competitor or supplier currently lists, at summary level; chain the collected URLs intoproductmode when you need the full detail.
Supported eBay marketplaces
ebay.com (USD), ebay.co.uk (GBP), ebay.de / ebay.fr / ebay.it / ebay.es / ebay.ie / ebay.nl / ebay.at / ebay.be (EUR), ebay.com.au (AUD), ebay.ca (CAD), ebay.ch (CHF), ebay.pl (PLN), ebay.com.hk (HKD), ebay.com.sg (SGD).
Each URL is scraped on its own domain, and every price is returned in that marketplace's own currency.
Error items
When a target can't be scraped - a removed product, a blocked/unavailable page, an invalid store URL - the actor pushes an error row instead of silently skipping it, and does not charge for it. Error rows are marked with "success": false.
{"success": false,"url": "https://www.ebay.com/itm/000000000000","error": "Item not found. The URL is invalid or the product was removed."}
Common error messages:
Item not found. The URL is invalid or the product was removed.- the only message that proves a product is really gone (eBay answered 404/410). Everything else is infrastructure trouble and is safe to retry.Failed to scrape product. The page may be blocked or unavailable.Failed to scrape store page N. It may be blocked or unavailable.This is an item URL, not a store page. …Could not identify the eBay seller from this URL. …
Tips for scraping eBay without getting blocked
- Use residential proxies. eBay answers datacenter and direct traffic with HTTP 403 very quickly; residential proxies are what keep a run stable.
- Every item, ID, or store URL you request is always accounted for in the output - if something couldn't be fetched, it's clearly marked instead of silently missing, so you can spot and retry it.
- In Scrape all pages mode, if a later page fails after some pages already succeeded, the run keeps the products it gathered instead of failing the whole store.
- Intended for collecting publicly available eBay data for legitimate research and business purposes.

FAQ
Do I need an eBay API key or an eBay account?
No. This actor reads public eBay pages directly, so there is no eBay developer account, API key, or login involved.
Can I scrape all products from an eBay store?
Yes. Use sellerProducts mode with an eBay Store or seller URL and turn on Scrape all pages to walk the whole item grid, optionally capped with maxPages.
Can I scrape eBay product variants and stock levels?
Yes. Every product row includes each variation's price, currency, discount, image, option values and quantityAvailable - the real stock number
Does it scrape eBay product descriptions?
Yes. Turn on Fetch product description and the actor fetches the itm.ebaydesc.com iframe and returns sanitized, scope-isolated HTML in description_html that is safe to embed in your own page.
Which eBay marketplaces are supported?
All major ones - ebay.com, ebay.co.uk, the EUR sites, ebay.com.au, ebay.ca, ebay.ch, ebay.pl, ebay.com.hk and ebay.com.sg. Each URL is scraped on its own domain in its own currency.
How do I avoid being blocked while scraping eBay?
Run with Apify residential proxies. eBay returns HTTP 403 to datacenter and direct traffic very quickly, and the actor already retries failures on a fresh proxy.
