Dead Link & Broken Image Graveyard Scanner

Crawl any website and get a complete report of every broken link, broken image, and redirect chain — with full-page screenshots as proof you can hand straight to a client or drop into an audit report.

Why this exists

Broken links and images quietly hurt SEO rankings and make a site look neglected, but manually clicking through every page to find them doesn't scale past a handful of pages. This actor does that checking for you and gives you evidence, not just a list of URLs.

What you get in the results

For every page crawled:

  • Broken links — every link returning a 400+ error or a connection failure
  • Broken images — every image that fails to load
  • Redirect chains — links that resolve to a different final URL than the one on the page (useful for cleaning up SEO-diluting redirect chains)
  • Screenshot — a full-page screenshot of any page where an issue was found, saved to the Key-value store

Input

FieldDescriptionDefault
Website URL to scanThe homepage or starting page of the site you want audited— (required)
Max pages to crawlStops the crawl after this many internal pages20
Take screenshotsWhether to capture a full-page screenshot when an issue is foundtrue

Output

Results are saved to the Dataset, one row per page crawled, with columns: pageUrl, brokenLinksCount, brokenLinks, brokenImagesCount, brokenImages, redirectsCount, redirects, screenshotKey.

Screenshots are saved to the Key-value store under the key shown in screenshotKey for that row.

Known limitations

A small number of platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter) block automated link-checking regardless of technique. Links to these domains are intentionally skipped rather than falsely reported as broken. If your site links to profiles on these platforms, verify them manually.

Who this is for

SEO agencies, freelance web auditors, and site owners who want to catch what's quietly broken before it costs them rankings or trust.
