Google News Scraper - Headlines & Article Data turns keyword searches into a clean, current article dataset. Search for companies, people, products, industries, events, or quoted phrases and choose the country and language edition that matters to your research.

Independent tool. Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google.

What can the Google News Scraper do?

Run up to 50 news searches together and collect as many as 100 results per query. Each query is handled independently, making it easy to compare coverage across brands, competitors, markets, or topics in one export. Country and language controls help you focus on a specific Google News edition rather than mixing unrelated regional results.

Google News article data

Each saved row represents one article result and can include:

  • Search query and result rank
  • Headline and publisher
  • Publication date when available
  • Direct article URL and Google News URL
  • Article snippet and image URL when shown
  • Collection timestamp

Results are ready to download as JSON, CSV, or Excel, or connect to a scheduled reporting and analysis workflow.

How to scrape Google News

  2. Select a two-letter country and language code for the edition you want.
  3. Choose the maximum number of articles per query.
  4. Start the run and open the dataset when it finishes.

Example input

Pricing

This Actor uses result-based pricing. You pay for article rows successfully saved to the dataset. Empty searches and results that cannot be saved do not create a paid article row. Use the maximum-results setting and an Apify run spending limit to keep every run within budget.

Frequently asked questions

Can I search several topics in one run?

Yes. Add up to 50 queries, and the Actor combines their results in one dataset while retaining the query and rank for every row.

Can I target local news editions?

Yes. Set the country and language codes, such as DE and de for German-language results in Germany.

Does every row include a snippet and image?

No. These fields are included when Google News displays them for that result.

Limitations

Google News can change result order, available fields, and regional coverage at any time. A result may link through Google News when a direct publisher URL cannot be resolved. This Actor returns article metadata shown in Google News; it does not extract full article text, bypass publisher paywalls, or guarantee that every matching article on the web will appear.
