Input

  • Categories — multi-select the zooplus.fr categories you want; combine as many as you like. Each selected category gets an equal share of Max items (leftover budget rolls over to the next source):

    OptionURL scraped
    Croquettes chatzooplus.fr/shop/chats/croquettes_chat
    Croquettes chienzooplus.fr/shop/chiens/croquettes_chien
    Friandises chatzooplus.fr/shop/chats/friandises_chat
    Friandises chienzooplus.fr/shop/chiens/friandises_chien
  • Start URLs — free-form list on top of the categories: paste any zooplus.fr product URL (that exact product is scraped) or category URL (every product link on the page is scraped). Remove the example entries with the ✕ button and add your own.

  • Max items — stop early once N products are collected across all sources (default 100). Also caps your pay-per-result spending.

  • Delay between requests (ms) — politeness delay (default 1200).

Long runs, timeouts & resurrect

At ~1.2 s per product page, a 500-item run takes ~15 min. The default platform timeout (often 300 s) kills the run around item ~110 — raise the Timeout run option (e.g. 3600 s) for anything above ~200 items.

If a run still dies and you resurrect it, the Actor resumes instead of restarting: delivered product URLs are persisted to the key-value store every 10 items and skipped on the next run. A resurrect continues where the previous attempt stopped instead of pushing the same first items again. To force a fresh full re-scrape, delete the scraped-urls record in the run's key-value store.

Pricing — pay per result

This Actor is billed per scraped product: each successfully scraped and delivered item charges one result event. Failed fetches and unparsed pages are never charged. If your account's spending limit is hit mid-run, the Actor stops early instead of producing unbilled work — use Max items to cap a run's cost precisely. See the Pricing tab for the exact per-result price.

Why this one

  • French AND English pages handled — composition sections use localized anchors (Ingrédients / Ingredients,
    Constituants analytiques
    / Analytical constituents, Mode d'emploi /
    Feeding guide
    ) and tolerate real-world formatting (Protéine brute : 62 %).
  • Plain HTTP, no headless browser — fast, cheap, no proxy burn.
  • EAN from JSON-LD, not scraped heuristics — barcode-clean output, ready for price feeds and product catalogs.

Notes

  • Categories list ~40-50 products per page; give deeper subcategory URLs (or several URLs) for broader coverage.
  • Personal-use tip: keep the delay at 1200 ms or above — the HTTP-only crawler is light on compute units, so runs stay cheap.
