App Review Monitor

App Review Monitor extracts recent customer reviews from public Apple App Store JSON feeds and turns them into structured dataset records for monitoring, analysis, and alerts. Use it when you want a lightweight way to track rating changes and new written feedback without building your own App Store feed collector.

What it does

The Actor reads public App Store review feeds, normalizes review information, and writes stable records to the default Apify dataset. It is designed for repeated scheduled runs, so the output can be used in downstream automations, dashboards, spreadsheets, or alerting workflows.

Typical use cases include:

• monitoring new reviews for your own apps;
• tracking competitor feedback and recurring complaints;
• collecting rating and review text for product research;

Quick start

1. Open the Actor in Apify Console.
2. Add the public App Store review feed or supported app source URL to the input.
3. Keep the default limits for a first test run.
4. Run the Actor and inspect the default dataset.
5. Once the result looks correct, schedule the Actor or call it through the Apify API.

The Input tab contains request limits, retry settings, concurrency, proxy configuration, and Actor-specific review controls. Start conservatively and increase limits only when required.

Output

Each emitted dataset item represents a normalized review record together with source and scrape metadata. The exact fields are defined by the Actor dataset schema, which makes the output suitable for API consumers and repeatable monitoring jobs.

You can export results from Apify in formats such as JSON, CSV, or Excel, or consume the dataset through the Apify API.

Scheduling and integrations

For continuous monitoring, create an Apify schedule and run the Actor at the interval appropriate for the app. Dataset output can then be connected to webhooks, Make, Zapier, custom services, or other Actors.

Limitations

This Actor relies on public Apple App Store feed data. Availability, ordering, coverage, and fields can change upstream. It does not bypass authentication or private APIs and does not guarantee that every historical review is available. Use reasonable request limits and verify the source before relying on it for critical reporting.
