See exactly what any institutional investment manager is holding, straight from their latest SEC 13F-HR filing on EDGAR.
What you get
For every manager CIK you check, this Actor pulls their most recent 13F-HR filing and returns one row per equity position:
- Issuer name, CUSIP, and share class
- Position value (converted to real USD, not the thousands SEC reports)
- Share count and whether it's shares or principal amount
- Put/call flag, investment discretion, and voting authority breakdown (sole/shared/none)
- The report's period date so you know exactly which quarter you're looking at
Why this instead of a 13F tracker site
Most "whale watcher" sites republish 13F data behind a paywall, a delay, or a subscription. This Actor reads straight from data.sec.gov and sec.gov/Archives, so you get the same filing SEC itself publishes, exportable as JSON/CSV/Excel, and pipeable into your own research or alerts.
Who this is for
Retail investors and researchers who want to track what hedge funds, family offices, and asset managers are buying - without paying for a dedicated 13F terminal. Useful as a quarterly scheduled check (13F filings are due 45 days after each quarter-end).
How to use it
- Add the CIK numbers of the managers you want to track (not stock tickers - 13F filers are institutions, identified by their own SEC CIK). A few well-known ones to get started:
0001067983- Berkshire Hathaway0001350694- Bridgewater Associates0001167483- Renaissance Technologies0001009207- Soros Fund Management- Find any manager's CIK by searching their name at SEC EDGAR company search.
- Set how many top holdings to return per manager (default 25, ranked by position value).
- Run it. Each CIK is checked against its latest 13F-HR filing and every qualifying holding is parsed.
- Schedule it quarterly on Apify to build a running holdings-change log.
Example output
{"cik": "0001067983","managerName": "BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY INC","periodOfReport": "2026-06-30","issuerName": "APPLE INC","cusip": "037833100","classOfShares": "COM","valueUsd": 78500000000,"shares": 300000000,"investmentDiscretion": "SOLE","votingAuthoritySole": 300000000}
Pricing
Pay-per-event: $0.03 per manager scanned, charged once per CIK regardless of how many holdings are found. Checking 10 managers costs $0.30.
FAQ
Does this need SEC login or an API key? No. SEC EDGAR's data endpoints are public.
What if a CIK isn't a 13F filer? You get a row explaining that, so you can tell "not a 13F filer" apart from "not checked."
How current is the data? 13F-HR filings are due within 45 days of each quarter's end, so holdings are always at least one quarter old - that's an SEC disclosure rule, not a limitation of this Actor.
