π TikTok Hashtag Analytics & Tracker β Views, Posts & Growth
TikTok Hashtag Analytics & Tracker gets the exact current global view count and post count for any TikTok hashtag, in bulk, and works out views per post for you. Paste a list of hashtags, #hashtags or TikTok hashtag URLs and get one clean row per hashtag. It's a fast way to measure TikTok hashtag size and popularity before you use a hashtag in content or a campaign.
Run it again later and it becomes a TikTok hashtag tracker. The Actor keeps a private history of every hashtag you check and shows views gained, posts gained, growth percentages and per-day growth since your previous run. You can also add supporting TikTok videos with creator metrics, plus the related hashtags that appear alongside yours. Results export to CSV, Excel or JSON, or flow into your tools through the API, schedules and automation platforms. It's built for marketers, social media managers, agencies, creators, campaign teams and content researchers.
Pricing: $5.00 per 1,000 hashtag results, plus $1.00 per 1,000 optional supporting videos. Invalid, nonexistent and failed hashtag lookups are never charged.
Data source: TikTok (public, logged-out data).

- Track campaign and branded hashtags. Follow a campaign or brand challenge hashtag run by run and report its growth.
- Do content and niche research. Find which hashtags in your niche are big, growing or saturated.
- Discover supporting videos and creators. See relevant TikTok videos, their engagement and the creators behind them.
- Find co-occurring hashtags. Learn which hashtags appear most often alongside yours.
- Feed dashboards, reports and AI workflows. Send clean JSON to Google Sheets, Looker Studio, Airtable or an AI agent.
How to use TikTok Hashtag Analytics & Tracker
1. Register for Apify
Register for a free Apify account if you don't have one yet. Apify's Free plan includes $5 of monthly credit to spend on Actors in Apify Store. The Actor itself isn't free, but at current pricing $5 covers about 1,000 hashtag results (without optional videos).
2. Open the Actor
Open TikTok Hashtag Analytics & Tracker in Apify Console.
3. Add hashtags
Enter one hashtag per line, or paste a list. These all work:
marketing#smallbusinesshttps://www.tiktok.com/tag/digitalmarketingmarketing, fitness, recipe(a comma-separated list)
4. Configure options
- Track growth between runs (
trackHistory): on by default. Saves each run's counts so later runs can show growth. - Include supporting videos (
includeVideos): adds relevant TikTok videos, creator metrics and related hashtags. - Max videos per hashtag (
maxVideosPerHashtag): up to 90. - Only videos that use the hashtag (
onlyVideosContainingHashtag): keeps only videos whose caption contains your hashtag. - Supporting video region (
videoCountry): which regional selection of videos TikTok shows. Totals are always global.
5. Click Start
The Actor looks up every hashtag, adds growth since your previous run when history exists, and fetches supporting videos if you turned them on. Small runs usually finish within seconds.
6. Export or integrate
Open the Output tab to view results as a table, then download CSV, Excel or JSON. You can also pull results through the API, trigger webhooks, or connect Make, Zapier, n8n and AI workflows.
7. Track growth over time
Save your input as a Task and add a Schedule (for example daily). From the second run onwards, every hashtag shows views and posts gained, growth % and per-day growth.

How tracking works
TikTok doesn't publish historical analytics for arbitrary hashtags. This Actor builds Zapticx-tracked history from its own observations: each run saves every hashtag's exact counts to a private key-value store named tiktok-hashtag-history in your Apify account, and the next run compares against it.
- First run of a hashtag:
history.statusisFIRST_OBSERVATION; tracking starts. - Later runs:
COMPARED, with views and posts gained, growth % and per-day rates since the previous observation. - Runs less than 15 minutes apart don't create a new data point (
BASELINE_TOO_RECENT). - Retention: up to 100 observations per hashtag.
- Shared within your account: scheduled Tasks, Console runs and API runs all use the same history, which is correct because the totals are global.
- Reset: delete the
tiktok-hashtag-historystore under Storage in Apify Console. - Negative post growth can happen, because TikTok's post count drops when videos are deleted.
These growth figures are calculated by this Actor. They are not TikTok-provided historical trends.
Supporting videos explained
With includeVideos on, the Actor adds relevant videos from TikTok Discover keyword pages for each hashtag. TikTok doesn't show a hashtag's own video feed to logged-out visitors, so these are the videos TikTok associates with the keyword. They are not TikTok's direct hashtag feed and not a ranked "top videos" list.
hashtagMatchtells you whether each video's caption actually uses your hashtag. Turn ononlyVideosContainingHashtagto keep only those.videoCountrychanges which regional videos TikTok picks. It never changes hashtag totals.- Video and creator counts are TikTok's display-rounded figures (for example 1,800,000).
- Some hashtags have no Discover page. They return
videoSample.status: "NOT_COVERED"and no videos, and nothing extra is charged. relatedHashtagslists up to 10 hashtags that appear in at least two of the returned videos. Larger samples give more meaningful lists.
Pricing
| Event | Price | Charged when |
|---|---|---|
| Hashtag result | $0.005 | A successful hashtag result contains exact current totals |
| Supporting video | $0.001 | A supporting video is actually returned |
Free / not charged: invalid hashtags, nonexistent hashtags, duplicate inputs, upstream failures, hashtags with no supporting video results, history calculations, creator data and related hashtags.
Examples:
- 100 hashtags = $0.50
- 1,000 hashtags = $5.00
- 1,000 hashtags + 10 supporting videos each = $15.00
Apify's Free plan includes $5 of monthly credit, enough for about 1,000 hashtag results.

TikTok Hashtag API & integrations
Use the Actor as a TikTok hashtag API: start a run, wait for it to finish and get the results in a single call.
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/zapticx~tiktok-hashtag-analytics-tracker/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN" \-H "Content-Type: application/json" \-d '{"hashtags": ["marketing", "smallbusiness"]}'
- Apify API and clients: run the Actor from Python, JavaScript or any HTTP client, and read results from its dataset.
- Tasks and Schedules: save a hashtag list as a Task and schedule it for automatic TikTok hashtag monitoring.
- Webhooks: get notified, or trigger your own workflow, when a run finishes.
- Make, Zapier and n8n: send new results to Google Sheets, Airtable, Slack or a CRM.
- Dashboards: connect exported data to Looker Studio, Power BI or your own reporting.
- AI agents: call the Actor from Claude, Cursor or any MCP client through the Apify MCP server.
Limitations
- Hashtag totals are global. TikTok doesn't expose country-level hashtag totals, so there is no country filter for them.
- Growth history starts from your first tracked run; earlier history can't be recovered.
- No TikTok-provided historical charts, audience demographics, promoted flags or Creative Center rankings.
- Supporting video coverage is partial. Videos are contextual, keyword-based samples, and the feed usually ends after a few pages.
- Counts are live and can change between two runs seconds apart.
- TikTok's public web endpoints can change. If TikTok refuses a lookup, the hashtag is returned as an error row (never as zero) and isn't charged.
FAQ
Do I need a TikTok account? No. Only public, logged-out data is used. No login, cookies or API key.
Are the hashtag views exact? Yes. Hashtag totals are TikTok's exact counters. Supporting-video counts are TikTok's rounded display values.
Are hashtag totals country-specific?
No. TikTok hashtag totals are global. videoCountry only changes which supporting videos are shown.
How does growth tracking work? Each run saves the counts in your own Apify account, and the next run compares against them. See How tracking works.
Why do I see FIRST_OBSERVATION?
It's the first time this hashtag ran in your account. Run it again at least 15 minutes later to see growth.
What are supporting videos? Relevant videos from TikTok Discover keyword pages, with engagement and creator metrics.
Are supporting videos actual hashtag videos?
Not necessarily. They come from TikTok's keyword pages, not the hashtag's own feed. hashtagMatch shows which ones use your hashtag.
What does UPSTREAM_ROUTE_BLOCKED mean?
TikTok refused that lookup on every route tried during the run. The row isn't charged, and re-running later usually works.
Can I track hundreds of hashtags? Yes. Paste them all into one run; each gets its own row and its own history.
Can I use this as an API? Yes. See TikTok Hashtag API & integrations.
Can I schedule it every day? Yes. Save your input as a Task and attach a daily Schedule.
How much does it cost? $5.00 per 1,000 hashtag results and $1.00 per 1,000 optional supporting videos. Failed lookups are free.
