Website Screenshots & Visual Changes — Static HTML

Enter public web page URLs to get fixed-viewport PNG screenshots and the final URL after any HTTP redirects. Optionally reuse a named baseline to get a difference image and the percentage of changed pixels.

Static HTML rendering with JavaScript disabled does not reproduce an interactive browser session.

HTTP redirects of the main HTML page and images are resolved through the validated public-web transport. The browser opens the final document URL, so relative images and stylesheets use the correct directory. finalUrl records that resolved document URL. Redirected stylesheets remain unsupported because their relative CSS resources need additional handling; use pages with direct stylesheet URLs.

What counts as a result

One delivered row contains url, finalUrl, width, height, screenshotUrl, comparison, changedPixelPercent and optional differenceImageUrl. A first capture has no comparison. Later runs with the same stateStoreName, input URL and viewport compare against the saved image; the baseline updates only after delivery. Do not overlap runs sharing a baseline.

Missing or invalid required images/stylesheets, robots restrictions, exhausted budgets, unexpected navigation or incomplete decoding prevent a delivered screenshot for that page. Other input pages may continue. Check RUN_REPORT for failures and partial runs. Webfonts, media, JavaScript, service workers and speculative prefetch are intentionally omitted. Frames, HTML refresh navigation and redirected stylesheets are unsupported. Required lazy images that have not loaded also cause a failure; the Actor does not promise complete rendering of every site.

Limits and pricing

• Up to 10 input URLs is an input cap, not a promise to render 10 resource-heavy pages.
• The shared request budget is 100 by default, 300 maximum. Pages, redirects, robots, stylesheets and images all count. Successful downloaded bodies share a 40 MB run budget, with smaller per-response caps. Failed/aborted transfers are not exact physical-byte accounting.
• Maximum viewport: 1920×2160. A 60-second per-page deadline, 240-second processing deadline and platform run timeout bound work. No promise is made that every maximum can be reached together.
• $0.03 per delivered screenshot/optional comparison, plus the existing $0.001 start charge at supported memory sizes. Rejected screenshots have no result charge; the start charge still applies. Set maxResults and Apify's maximum run cost.

PNG links follow Apify storage access and retention. changedPixelPercent measures luminance differences above pixelThreshold (20 by default), not semantic page changes. No notification or recurring schedule is created automatically.
