Cotton On Group Scraper: Products, Prices & Reviews

Cotton On Group Scraper turns the Cotton On Group storefronts into a clean product API. Walk any category across Cotton On, Cotton On Body, Cotton On Kids, Typo, Factorie and Supre, browse sale and gift guides, search keywords, or paste product links, and get structured rows with prices and was-prices, colors and colorway counts, size availability with fit feedback, barcodes, image galleries, and member reviews with star breakdowns - then export to JSON, CSV or Excel, or pull the results straight into your app through the API.

Why This Scraper?

  • Every brand, one actor. The Group's six storefront brands share one catalog: categories, sale, gift guides and product pages all read through the same grammar, across the Australian, New Zealand, United States, United Kingdom and Singapore storefronts.
  • Three ways in. Keyword search, pasted category or product links (any mix), or a bare run that walks one example of every surface by default.
  • Full price picture. Current price, was-price, discount percentage and currency on every row - sale pages and clearance included.
  • Real detail reads. The full written description, complete colorway list, per-size availability with sold-out sizes, average-fit feedback and the image gallery on each enriched row.
  • Reviews included. Star average, count, per-star distribution and up to 20 member reviews per product with verified-purchase badges, billed one unit per product that delivered reviews.
  • Built for schedules. Incremental mode returns only new and changed records on recurring runs, and a refused run fails loudly instead of returning an empty dataset.

Use Cases

  • Who: price-monitoring teams - track prices, markdowns and sell-outs across every Group brand on a schedule.
  • Who: fashion resellers and affiliates - pull titles, galleries, sizes and availability into your own storefront or feed.
  • Who: review researchers - collect star distributions and review text per product for sentiment and sizing analysis.

How to Use

  1. Pick a mode: catalog URLs (default) to walk categories, sale, gifts or product pages, or keyword search for search listings.
  2. In URL mode, paste any mix of category, sale, gift and product links. In search mode, add keywords.
  3. Set Max items for the run cap (20 by default) and keep Fetch product details on for descriptions, sizes, galleries and reviews.
  4. Run the actor and export the dataset, or select an MCP connector to send records into your apps.

Walk categories across the brands:

{"mode": "urls", "urls": ["https://cottonon.com/AU/co/women/womens-clothing/womens-tops/", "https://cottonon.com/AU/typo/typo-shop-all/", "https://cottonon.com/AU/kids/kids-boys-1-8/boys-1-8-clothing/"], "maxItems": 30}

Scrape the sale and a product:

{"mode": "urls", "urls": ["https://cottonon.com/AU/co/co-sale/", "https://cottonon.com/AU/hold-me-cami/2060406-02.html"], "maxItems": 20}

Search keywords:

{"mode": "search", "searchTerms": ["denim shorts"], "market": "AU", "maxItems": 20}

Watch prices on a schedule:

{"mode": "urls", "urls": ["https://cottonon.com/AU/co/co-sale/"], "incrementalMode": true, "stateKey": "sale-watch", "maxItems": 0}

Run it from your code

Run it from Python:

from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN")
run = client.actor("abotapi/cottonon-com-scraper").call(run_input={
"mode": "urls",
"urls": ["https://cottonon.com/AU/co/co-sale/"],
"maxItems": 20,
"fetchDetails": True,
})
items = client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).list_items().items

Run it from JavaScript:

import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
const client = new ApifyClient({ token: 'YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN' });
const run = await client.actor('abotapi/cottonon-com-scraper').call({
mode: 'urls',
urls: ['https://cottonon.com/AU/co/co-sale/'],
maxItems: 20,
fetchDetails: true,
});
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();

Tips

  • Reviews bill one unit per product that delivered reviews: maxReviews: 20 (the default) caps how many ride along per product; maxReviews: 0 skips review reads entirely.
  • A product link always reads its product page: the page is that record's only data source, so the detail fee applies even with the listing-row toggle off.
  • Category links can be pasted from any Group brand storefront; the walk follows the link's own market. Keyword searches and review locales use the Market selection.

Send results into your apps (MCP connectors)

Optionally send records into the apps you already use through MCP connectors: set MCP connectors (for example a Notion database) and cap the export with Max items to export per connector. The export is a gated side channel: it never changes the dataset.

FieldWhat it does
mcpConnectorsConnector ids to export to (empty = no export).
notionParentPageUrlURL or id of the Notion parent page (required for the Notion connector).
maxNotifyListingsCap on records written to each connector per run.

Plan Requirement

This actor runs on any Apify plan. The default shared connection keeps costs low; if runs fail with connection errors, switch the proxy group to residential and try again.

FAQ

How much does it cost?

The actor is pay per event: a start fee per run, a per-record fee for every product returned, a detail surcharge when a product page is read (on by default), and one review unit per product that delivered reviews. Exact prices are on the actor's Pricing tab. Max items is the cost lever: a run's record count is bounded by it.

The actor reads the public catalog surfaces: the same category, search and product data any visitor sees without an account. It does not access accounts, wishlists or checkout. You are responsible for using the data in line with the site's terms of use, privacy law such as GDPR or CCPA, and applicable regulations; personal data of identifiable individuals requires a lawful basis.

Which brands does it cover?

All six Group storefronts share the one catalog: Cotton On (including Cotton On Body), Cotton On Kids, Typo, Factorie and Supre. Paste a category link from any of them, or start from the built-in default links which cover every brand section, the sale, gift guides and a product page.

Can I get only new or changed items on a schedule?

Yes. Turn on Incremental mode and schedule the actor. The first run returns everything matching as NEW; later runs return only NEW and UPDATED records. Price moves, sell-outs and restocks all count as changes; the listing position of a tile does not. Use State key to keep a monitoring campaign stable, and Emit unchanged or Emit expired only if you also want those rows (they return and bill extra rows).

Why did a run return fewer results than the site shows?

The run stops at Max items, which defaults to 20. Raise it, set it to 0, or narrow the scope to get a fuller slice.

Why did my run fail instead of returning an empty dataset?

A run that never got a single readable answer fails loudly with a connection message instead of reporting an empty catalog: an empty dataset always means the scope genuinely matched nothing. A run that reads some pages but is refused others still succeeds and names the refused count with a Partial results status.

Can I use it with AI agents or MCP?

Yes. Every record is plain JSON over the dataset API, and the MCP connector export sends rows straight into tools like Notion. Point an agent at the dataset items endpoint with the input above.
