Get every company newly registered in Norway's business register for an industry (NACE) code and region, as it appears. Search Brreg's Enhetsregisteret, the official open register, for companies registered in the last 1 to 90 days. Turn on monitoring mode and run it on a schedule to get only the organisations that are new since your last run, charged per company and free on a quiet day.
Who uses it: B2B sales teams opening a Nordic market, accountants and banks looking for new clients, suppliers selling to start-ups (software, construction, restaurants), and compliance teams watching new registrations.
Private individuals are never returned. Sole proprietorships (Enkeltpersonforetak) carry the owner's own name and home address, so they are dropped before anything is counted or charged. Bankruptcy estates (konkursbo) are dropped too, as they are wind-downs, not new businesses. You get companies, partnerships, foreign branches and other legal entities.
Related actors: to look up one known organisation number use Brreg Company Lookup. For the UK equivalent use UK Company Incorporation Alerts by SIC Code.
How to use
- In the Apify Console. Open the actor page and click Start — the
naceCodesfield is already pre-filled with a working example. Results land in the run's dataset as soon as each item is found. - Via the API. Call it directly with a POST request — no Console needed once you have an API token:
curl "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/accountable_eel~norway-company-incorporation-alert/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=<YOUR_TOKEN>" \-X POST \-H "Content-Type: application/json" \-d '{"naceCodes":["43"]}'
- On a schedule. Save this actor as an Apify Task with the input you want, then add a Schedule (hourly, daily, weekly) so it runs on its own — no server of your own required.
Input
{"naceCodes": ["43"]}
One NACE code or prefix per line, e.g. 62 (software), 43.320 (carpentry) or 56 (restaurants). Brreg moved to NACE rev 2.1 in 2025, so check the code in its current form. Leave empty for every industry. Accepted formats: 62, 43.320, 56.
One combined search runs per call. NACE codes are prefix-matched by the register itself (43 returns every construction trade; 43.320 only carpentry). Regions match a municipality name, a 4-digit municipality number or a 2-digit county number, and are applied after fetching, as is the name filter. Since 2025 the register uses NACE rev 2.1, so older codes such as 62.010 no longer return anything. A new company often has no NACE code yet; those rows show naceCode: null.
Output
One row per company: organisation number, name, legal form, registration and founding dates, NACE code and description, stated activity, address, municipality, employees and share capital where the register has them, and the register record URL. Missing values are null, never 0 or an empty string. Example:
| query | found | status | searchSummary | companyCount | truncated | monitorStatus | companies | organisationNumber | companyName | legalForm | legalFormName | registeredOn | foundedOn | inBusinessRegister | naceCode | naceDescription | activity | street | postalCode | postalPlace | municipality | municipalityNumber | employees | shareCapitalNok | website | companyUrl | isNew | firstSeenAt | scrapedAt |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 43 | true | OK | <all companies (full list)> | <share capital (nok)> | <is this company new?> | 1970-01-01T00:00:00.000Z |
A search with no match comes back as a row with "found": false and is never charged.
Pricing
Pay-per-event. A flat per-run fee covers start-up; you're billed per company returned (event company-matched), never for a search with no result and never on a monitoring run with nothing new. A miss is never charged.
Price: $3 per 1,000 companies at the entry tier, lower on higher Apify plans.
Example runs
Paste any of these into the Input tab and press Start. All three return rows with no key, no token and no account of your own beyond an Apify login.

Use it from Clay, n8n, Make, or an AI agent
This actor runs synchronously over plain HTTP — call it directly from a script, a workflow tool, or an AI agent, no Apify Console needed once you have an API token.
curl "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/accountable_eel~norway-company-incorporation-alert/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=<YOUR_TOKEN>" \-X POST \-H "Content-Type: application/json" \-d '{"naceCodes":["43"]}'
n8n. Add an HTTP Request node: Method POST, URL https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/accountable_eel~norway-company-incorporation-alert/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=<YOUR_TOKEN>, Body Content Type JSON, JSON Body {"naceCodes":["43"]} (swap in an expression from an earlier node for a real value).
Clay. Add an "HTTP API" column: Method POST, URL https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/accountable_eel~norway-company-incorporation-alert/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=<YOUR_TOKEN>, Body {"naceCodes":["{{search}}"]}, mapping the row's search into the naceCodes array.
MCP. In Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client with the Apify MCP server, ask for "new Norwegian companies by industry code" — the agent will find and run this actor.
