Why Choose Domain Intelligence Lookup
One run answers the questions that normally take six tools. Registration age and expiry, certificate validity and expiry, SPF and DMARC correctness, DNSSEC trust, negotiated TLS ciphers, discovered subdomains, hosting provider and archived history all land in one row, keyed to the same domain and the same timestamp.
Findings carry their provenance. Each record names the route that produced it, so a subdomain found in a certificate log is distinguishable from one that resolves in DNS today, and a resolver's authenticated-data assertion is distinguishable from the local signature validation in dnssec.
Outcomes are explicit words, not blanks. check_status returns found, registered, not_registered, no_records or unknown, so a query that reached the registry and found nothing is separable from one that ran out of clock — the distinction that decides whether a result is safe to act on.
Registration comes from RDAP. Registration dates, registrar, status values, nameservers and entities are read from the registry's RDAP service, whose JSON structures and domain status vocabulary are specified in RFC 9083; registry WHOIS text is retained for suffixes that answer on port 43.
The full report is always retrievable. Collections too large for a Dataset item are written to a downloadable JSON report and named in external_sections, with report_url holding the link.

Step 1: Configure
Open the Actor's input form. The one input, domain, is prefilled with a working example, so a first run needs no editing. Replace example.com with the domain you want, or paste a full URL such as https://www.python.org/docs/ — the host www.python.org is checked for DNS and TLS, while the registered domain python.org is checked for registration and mail policy.
Step 2: Run
Press Start. Collection runs on a four-minute budget and then saves the report. Certificate and registration expiry monitoring. Schedule the Actor against a domain and read tls.tls_not_after with the certificate age in tls, alongside registration.expires_at and the days-until-expiry in the nested registration analysis, to alert before either lapses.

Compare the two before treating a domain as unconfigured. dnssecreports an indeterminate outcome. A domain with missing signatures or delegation records validates to indeterminate rather than to secure or bogus, and the section carries the evidence for that outcome so the gap is visible.- A subdomain in the list has no current addresses. Certificate logs and historical sources record names that existed when they were observed.
dns_statusandaddresseson each entry record whether that hostname resolves now. infrastructurenames a provider you did not expect. Matches are provider associations derived from the observed IP addresses and CNAME suffixes, which is evidence that traffic passes through that provider's ranges rather than a statement about the domain's contracts.- The report item looks shorter than expected.
