Luma Scraper - Tech Meetups, Conferences & Community Events
Extract events from Luma (lu.ma), the event platform that AI, crypto and startup communities have largely moved to. Search by keyword, city and date window and export a structured calendar of what is happening in a scene.
What you get per event
| Field | Example |
|---|---|
title | AI Engineering Meetup Berlin |
description | full event description |
start_at, end_at, timezone | scheduled times with the correct timezone |
organizer_name | who is hosting |
location_name | venue |
city, country | where it takes place |
is_virtual | online or in person |
tags | topic labels |
thumbnail_url | event image |
event_id, url | identifier and link |
Search filters
- query - topic or keyword, e.g.
tech,AI,crypto, design - locations - one or more cities to search
- after / before - the date window
- includeVirtual - include online-only events
- maxItems - how many events to save
Example input
{"query": "AI","locations": ["Berlin", "London"],"after": "2026-10-01","includeVirtual": false,"maxItems": 100}
Use cases
- Developer relations and community marketing - find where your audience is meeting, city by city
- Sponsorship prospecting - build a list of upcoming events and their organisers
- Competitive and ecosystem research - see which companies host events in your space and how often
- Recruiting - identify gatherings where the people you want to hire show up
- Event planning - check what else is scheduled in a city before picking a date
- Trend tracking - measure how event volume in a topic grows or fades over quarters
Why Luma
Luma became the default host for AI, crypto and early-stage startup events, a scene that has largely stopped using the older event platforms. If you are tracking those communities, the events simply are not visible anywhere else at the same density.
Notes
- Times come with an explicit
timezone, so international comparisons do not need guesswork. is_virtualseparates online events from physical ones;location_namestays empty for virtual events.- Searching several
locationsruns one search per city, so run time scales with the number of cities. - Attendee counts and ticket prices are not exposed publicly by the platform and are therefore not part of this export.
