Hi! Can you please confirm by direct example i.e. https://www.instagram.com/p/C6t7FyKscRw/ from your run with videoViewCount 52163 and at the moment of writing from sample re-run https://console.apify.com/view/runs/yBAPmMrO1LtroZUPQ videoViewCount: 52248

In other words, what exactly you see in browser for given reel when you check value right after scraping?

Otherwise you might be just confused by changes of views over time.

I am confused, is the viewCount different to the view count shown in reels. That reel has 245k views according to instagram, way more than the 52k you wrote here?

Is this a different count? I am taking this by looking at the reels page where it has the play counts. Every video is off from apify data by 10,000's - 100,000 views

I've attached a screenshot of the instagram reels, next to a filter JSON where you can see the difference in view counts.

Hi! Thanks for details.

In your run you getting profile details with latest posts and in this case actor only have value named videoViewCount To get full details please consider Instagram Reel Scraper sample run https://console.apify.com/view/runs/ecBzIHIkGCUA4r8LE - note that actor getting two counters videoViewCount and videoPlayCount (differences between what IG call "view" or "play" should be somewhere in their help section)

So value you looking for called videoPlayCount and available when either reels or posts scraped, see sample run https://console.apify.com/view/runs/w8RpAFNOvQInRIfPR of Instagram Scraper actor (its getting all posts from feed, not just reels)

In profile details posts in shorter format (no play counter) and we can not change it because many users want only this exact details without spending more CUs for more detailed data.

I´m going to close the issue now, but if there would be anything else we could help with, please let us know.
