How market references work

For vehicles, the actor matches make and model from the lot title against a lookup table of 50+ Italian market medians (Quattroruote / AutoScout24 aggregated, 2024). Year is extracted from the title for age-adjusted pricing.

For AsteGiudiziarie lots with fetchAppraisals: true, the official tribunal appraisal replaces the table estimate.

discount_vs_reference_pct is suppressed when the auction price is below 12% of the reference value — this indicates a highly distressed auction where the discount figure would not be meaningful.
