Scrape RemoteOK remote job postings straight from the site's own public API: title, company, tags, location, salary range and full description, read from the site's own public API. No login, no browser.
At a glance
| What you get | Remote jobs from RemoteOK: title, company, tags, location, salary range, date, description. |
| Price | $1.20 per 1,000 postings: a 50-posting test run costs about $0.07, start fee included. |
| Speed | 50 postings in about 15 seconds. No login, no proxy, no browser to configure. |
| Try it | Click Try for free, fill the short form and run: the first 50 postings arrive in under a minute. |
| Keep it fresh | Schedule it daily and keep only the new postings: see "Monitor new postings daily" below. |
What you can do with it
- Monitor new remote openings. Run it on a schedule and get the newest postings first, filtered by keyword.
- Benchmark remote salaries.
salaryMin/salaryMaxare kept as numbers whenever RemoteOK publishes them. - Feed a remote-jobs newsletter or board. Structured fields and the canonical
urlmake it easy to republish or dedupe onid. - Track which companies hire remote.
companyandtags(role, seniority, tech stack) for every posting.
Input
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
keywords | Keep only the postings whose title, tags or description contain this text, for example python or designer. Empty means every posting. |
maxItems | The run stops once this many postings are saved (default 50). RemoteOK's feed never carries more than about 100 at a time. |
Example input:
{"keywords": "python","maxItems": 50}
Output
One record per posting:
{"id": "1137480","slug": "remote-junior-sales-development-representative-it-industry-huzzle-1137480","url": "https://remoteOK.com/remote-jobs/remote-junior-sales-development-representative-it-industry-huzzle-1137480","title": "Junior Sales Development Representative IT Industry","company": "Huzzle","companyLogoUrl": null,"tags": ["saas", "technical", "marketing", "finance", "sales"],"location": null,"remote": true,"salaryMin": null,"salaryMax": null,"datePosted": "2026-10-10T00:00:17+00:00","description": "About Huzzle\nAt Huzzle, we connect exceptional talent with top opportunities..."}
Export the dataset as JSON, CSV or Excel, or read it through the Apify API. A real sample (five results, personal data removed, long texts truncated) is in sample-output.json.
Three ways to use it
1. Apify console, no code
- Open the Actor page and click Try for free (a free Apify account is enough).
- Fill in optional keywords and the maximum number of results, then click Start.
- When the run finishes, open the Output tab, check the table, then Export as CSV, Excel or JSON.
- For a daily alert, open Schedules, create a daily schedule for the Actor and, optionally, add an integration that sends new results to Slack, e-mail or Google Sheets.
2. Apify API with JavaScript
npm install apify-clientexport APIFY_TOKEN="your token from Apify console, Settings, Integrations"node examples/run.js
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';const client = new ApifyClient({ token: process.env.APIFY_TOKEN });const run = await client.actor('bibian/remoteok-jobs-scraper').call({keywords: 'python',maxItems: 50,});const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
The complete file is examples/run.js.
3. Apify API with Python
pip install apify-clientexport APIFY_TOKEN="your token from Apify console, Settings, Integrations"python examples/run.py
import osfrom apify_client import ApifyClientclient = ApifyClient(os.environ["APIFY_TOKEN"])run = client.actor("bibian/remoteok-jobs-scraper").call(run_input={"keywords": "python","maxItems": 50,})items = client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).list_items().items
The complete file is examples/run.py. Never put your token in the code: read it from the APIFY_TOKEN environment variable as above.
Pricing
Pay per result: $1.20 per 1,000 job postings, plus a tiny start fee of $0.00005 per run. You pay only for the results saved to the dataset. Prices are those shown on the Store page when this guide was written; the Store page is the reference.
Why this one
- Straight from RemoteOK's own public API, the same feed its own site reads: no browser, no proxy, fast and cheap.
- Salary kept as numbers (
salaryMin,salaryMax) whenever a posting publishes one, not buried in free text. - Two RemoteOK data quirks fixed on the way out: a handful of postings arrive with their HTML description escaped twice (
<h3>instead of<h3>), and a few accented letters come back mis-encoded (fürinstead offür). Both are repaired before the record is saved.
Good to know
- RemoteOK's feed has no pagination: it always answers with the same ~100 most recent postings.
maxItemsabove 100 is accepted but never produces more than the feed currently holds. - Every posting on RemoteOK is remote by construction, so
remoteis alwaystrue.locationis whatever applicant-location restriction the employer published (often empty, meaning worldwide). salaryMin/salaryMaxstay empty on the roughly 4 out of 5 postings that do not publish a range; nothing is guessed.- The dataset contains job postings only. Recruiter and candidate contact details are never exported.
- A few postings embed a hidden anti-spam phrase in their description, asking anyone applying to repeat a code word. It is RemoteOK's own anti-bot trick aimed at job applicants, kept as-is since it is part of the published text; it has no effect on this Actor, which only reads and saves postings.
- This is an unofficial tool, not affiliated with RemoteOK. Check the site's terms and the data protection rules that apply to your use.
FAQ
Does it need a browser or a proxy? No. The Actor reads RemoteOK's own public API directly, so runs are fast and cheap.
How do I get only the new postings every day?
Schedule the Actor daily with Apify Schedules. Postings come newest first, so dedupe on id if you keep your own copy.
Can I get the data in Excel or Google Sheets? Yes. Export the dataset as CSV, Excel or JSON from the Apify console, or connect the Apify Google Sheets integration.
Something does not work? Open an issue in the Issues tab. Every public actor is test-run daily and the broken ones are repaired.

Who uses it
- Recruiting agencies and HR teams watch which companies hire, for which roles and at which salary, in their market.
- Job boards and aggregators feed their own site with fresh postings in a stable schema, without maintaining a parser.
- B2B sales and lead generation: a company that is hiring is a company that is buying. Filter postings by role to spot prospects early.
- Labour-market research: salaries, skills in demand, remote share and hiring volume over time.
Pricing
Pay per result: $1.20 per 1,000 postings, plus $0.01 per run start with the default 4 GB of memory. For example, 100 postings cost about $0.13. You only pay for the postings you receive, and platform usage is included in that price. Store discounts apply automatically on paid Apify plans: up to 20% off every event on the higher tiers.
Run it from your code
JavaScript:
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';const client = new ApifyClient({ token: process.env.APIFY_TOKEN });const run = await client.actor('bibian/remoteok-jobs-scraper').call({maxItems: 50,});const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
Python:
from apify_client import ApifyClientclient = ApifyClient(token="<APIFY_TOKEN>")run = client.actor("bibian/remoteok-jobs-scraper").call(run_input={"maxItems": 50})items = client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).list_items().items
Monitor new postings daily and connect your tools
- Schedule it. Save a task, set its publication date filter to the shortest window, and schedule it daily with Apify Schedules. Deduplicate on the
idfield if you keep your own copy. Tick Only new results in the input and each run returns, and charges, only the postings that earlier runs of the same search did not deliver. - Push the results where you work. Add an Apify integration or a webhook to the task: Google Sheets, Slack, Make, Zapier, n8n or your own endpoint, triggered at the end of every run.
- Call it from your stack. The API and the JavaScript and Python clients return the dataset as JSON, CSV or Excel.
- Let an AI agent use it. Through the Apify MCP server, assistants such as Claude or ChatGPT can search the Store, read this page and run the actor as a tool.
