VEGA operates with two distinct "minds." You choose how much thinking you want to pay for.

Mode 1: The Engineering Core (Free / "Blind")

• What it does: Scrapes target URLs using Playwright (Dynamic) or BeautifulSoup (Static).
• The Magic: It uses FastEmbed (local CPU) to vector-scan every paragraph against your specific Risk Profile.
• The Result: If a page doesn't match your vector target (e.g., "Financial Fraud"), it is discarded immediately.
• Cost: $0.00 (Standard Apify platform rates apply).
• Why use it: Great for filtering 10,000 pages down to the 50 that actually matter.

Mode 2: The Cognitive Nexus (Gemini API Key Required)

• What it does: Everything in Mode 1, plus deeper analysis.
• The Magic: High-scoring content is sent to Google Gemini (2.5/3.0) for forensic validation.
• The Result: You don't just get text; you get a structured RiskAssessment.
  • Verdict: Critical / Suspicious / Clean.
  • Reasoning: Why is this risky?
  • Pivot: "You should search for X next."
• Cost: Your Gemini API Key usage.

The Thrill: You can run VEGA without a key. You will see the high vector scores. You will know something is there. But you won't know what until you unlock the Nexus. The choice is yours.

Gemini API Key	Optional.	Leave empty for Vector-only mode. Enter key for Cognitive mode.

If you enable the Cognitive Nexus, you must provide your own Google Gemini API Key. You are the "Developer of Record" for that session.
2. No Shadow Liability
VEGA is a tool, not an agent. It does not have a "will" of its own. If you input a Risk Profile that violates Google's Generative AI Prohibited Use Policy (e.g., generating illegal content), you are responsible for the consequences.
3. Intent
This tool is designed for defensive purposes (KYC, AML, Due Diligence). Do not use it to annoy your neighbors or scrape unauthorized private data.
