How to scrape Pinterest

1. Click Try for free and open the Input tab.
2. Enter one or more Search keywords, for example minimalist living room. You can also paste Pinterest search URLs.
3. Choose What to search for: pins, videos, boards or profiles.
4. Set Max items per keyword. Start small (for example 50) to see what the data looks like.
5. Optional: turn on Include engagement stats or Expand with related keywords.
6. Click Start. When the run is finished, open the Output tab and download your data in the format you prefer.

Include engagement stats	Adds repin, save, comment and share counts to pins and videos. Billed as a small extra charge per pin.
Expand with related keywords	If a search runs out before reaching your maximum, continues with related keywords (pins and videos only).
Max related keywords per search	Upper limit for the expansion. Default: 40.
Skip promoted pins (ads)	Removes sponsored pins. On by default; skipped pins are not charged.
Parallel searches	How many keywords are processed at the same time.
Proxy configuration	Residential proxies are recommended and selected by default.

How much does it cost to scrape Pinterest?

The Actor uses pay-per-event pricing, so you only pay for what you collect. Current prices are shown on the Pricing tab and become lower on higher Apify plans.

Platform usage is included. Example: 5,000 pins with engagement stats cost about 5 × ($1.50 + $0.60) = $10.50 plus the start fee. You can set a maximum cost per run in the run options, and the scraper stops when it is reached.

Tips for best results

• Run a small test first (20-50 results) to check the fields you need.
• Use specific keywords for focused data, and the expansion option when you need large volumes.
• Use the expandedFrom field to filter out results from related keywords that are too broad.
• Schedule the Actor to track how trends and engagement change over time.

FAQ

Do I need a Pinterest account? No. The Actor only collects publicly visible data.

How many results can I get? A single Pinterest search ends after roughly 800-1,000 results. Use Expand with related keywords to collect more for the same topic.

Can I scrape boards or profiles instead of pins? Yes. Choose Boards or Profiles in What to search for.

Why are some fields empty? Not every pin has a title, description or destination link. Empty values are returned as null.

Does it return video files? Video pins include a video stream link plus size, duration and thumbnail.

Are the engagement numbers exact? They are a snapshot of what Pinterest shows at the time of the run.

Is it legal to scrape Pinterest? The Actor collects publicly available data only. You are responsible for using the data in line with Pinterest's terms, copyright and privacy laws such as GDPR. Do not use personal data without a legal basis.
