Thunderstore Mods Scraper

Export game mods from Thunderstore — the major mod platform for Risk of Rain 2, Valheim, Lethal Company, Content Warning, V Rising, Among Us, and 300+ other communities. Get clean structured data for every package: name, owner, description, total downloads, rating, categories, latest version, dependencies, website, and optional version history.

Data comes from Thunderstore’s public REST API (global catalog + community package-listing-index shards). No browser, no proxy, no login.

What can it do?

• Community export. Pull every package for a game (lethal-company, valheim, riskofrain2, …) via the official listing-index shards.
• Global catalog. Empty community = the shared /api/v1/package/ catalog (~7.5k packages).
• Search & filters. Case-insensitive query across name / owner / description / categories; optional category, deprecated, and NSFW filters.
• Sort. Downloads, rating, updated, created, or name (ascending / descending).
• Version history (optional). Attach newest-first versions[] capped by maxVersionsPerPackage.
• Discover games. listCommunities returns Thunderstore community identifiers so you can pick a valid community slug.
• Fast and cheap. Pure JSON over HTTPS, concurrency ≤ 4 with Retry-After backoff. Runs on 512 MB.

Pay-per-event: $0.002 per package ($2 per 1,000 results).

Notes

• Uses Thunderstore’s public API only. Identifies as thunderstore-mods-scraper (Apify; +https://apify.com/confidential_marina).
• Community mode prefers /c/{community}/api/v1/package-listing-index/ shards (gzip) for memory-friendly exports of large games.
• Rate limits are respected with concurrency ≤ 4 and Retry-After backoff.
