Website Tech Stack Detector — CMS, JS Framework, Analytics & Hosting
Detects the CMS, JavaScript framework, analytics tool, CDN/hosting, web server and CSS/font libraries a public website uses, from its own HTTP headers and HTML. No third-party API keys, no login, no executing the page's JavaScript.
What it does
- Requests the page with a normal
GETand matches the HTML/headers against a list of public signatures (CMS, frameworks, analytics, CDN, server, e-commerce, payments, fonts). - Returns every detected technology with its category and the concrete evidence behind it (which string or header matched) — never a guess without evidence.
Who it's for
- Growth/sales teams that want to know what stack a prospect's or competitor's site is built on before a pitch.
- Agencies auditing client sites or doing lead scouting.
- AI agents that need technical context about a domain before deciding which other tool to use (e.g. "is it Shopify? try the e-commerce Actor; is it WordPress? try the SEO audit Actor").

How to call it
curl "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/cuantic-data~website-tech-stack/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_TOKEN" \-H "Content-Type: application/json" \-d '{"url": "https://example.com"}'
Terms and limits
See ./TERMS.md: uses only the HTML and public headers the server itself returns in a normal HTTP response, without executing the page's JS or accessing anything private.
FAQ
Why didn't it detect a technology I know the site uses? This version doesn't execute the page's JavaScript, so technologies that can only be detected by inspecting the rendered DOM (rather than the served HTML and headers) can go unnoticed. It's a disclosed limitation, not a made-up result.
