Slow but working + Domain rating issue for some specific domains
Hi Curious coder. I closed the previous ticket and open this one to report two things:
- The actor is working fine. TY. However it took 2 days and 6 hours to retrieve 13472 domains. Is it possible to speed it up or tweak it to make it faster? I attach the run url so you can check if it is possible to make it faster somehow.
- For some domains Ahref provides the same Domain Rating even if they are different domains. For example:
overview/domainRating overview/refdomains overview/urlRating url
84 43 9 ahe.lodz.pl
84 50 7 amuz.lodz.pl
84 54 9 asp.lodz.pl
84 69 5 filmschool.lodz.pl
84 762 30 p.lodz.pl
84 90 16 uni.lodz.pl
With the above domains Ahref consider them subdomains of lodz.pl instead of unique domains and it gives 84 as a domain rating for all of them. For a few domains this is not a problem because I can check manually but for 13,700 domains it becomes difficult to understand whether Ahref has consider the input as a domain or a subdomain. Is there anyway to tweak the actor so that it reports not only the initial input url but also whether Ahref is reporting the domain rating for asp.lodz.pl or lodz.pl when including asp.lodz.pl as an input? That would let me understand if the domain rating is matching my input urls or it is based on part of the input urls.

Thanks for opening the issue, Let me check and get back to you

Thanks Curious Coder. To give you an idea on how difficult to manually check each single domain and domain rating to see if it is treated as a top level domain or a subdomain by Ahref see this list of dubious domains. If they are considered as top level domains by Ahref the given domain rating metric would correctly apply to them but if some of them are considered subdomains the proper metric to consider would be the urlRating. At the moment there is not a field retrieved by the actor that can make understand the difference. If you manage to add a field that can show how Ahref consider the input urls it would be very useful. Cheers

Hi Curious Coder, can you please advise what heading has the column in the exported excel of output results that makes possible to distinguish whether the input domains were considered by ahref as a top level domains or a subdomains as per my post above when etracting valuable metrics. You mention that you added the feature but I cannot see where the new feature is exported in excel. At the moment I get only the following export headings (when choosing overview and url):
overview/backlinks overview/dofollowBacklinks overview/dofollowRefdomains overview/domainRating overview/refdomains overview/urlRating url
It would be nice to have an additional one extra export heading column named for example
overview/urlType or url/urlType (values: domain,subdomain,url)
Thank you for your clarification
