Whatever username I put in (e.g. elonmusk), I'm always getting 0 results. I've limited the results to 10 (for testing purposes) and set the machine ram to 128mb.

Ok -- seems that you need a minimum of 20 posts to scrape for this to run. Might be worth updating the README with this information!
