Detect the tech stack behind any list of websites: CMS, ecommerce platform, analytics and ad pixels, marketing and chat tools, frameworks, CDN, hosting and email provider. A BuiltWith and Wappalyzer alternative. Pay per website with findings; websites that fail are not charged.
Detects technologies from each website's homepage (HTTP headers, cookies, meta tags, script and style references, inline scripts, page markup) and from public DNS records (MX, TXT, SPF, DMARC, NS, SOA, CNAME).
Reads inline install snippets, so tags loaded by a snippet (for example analytics, chat and ad pixels) are found without a browser.
Email setup: inbox provider, email sending services, SPF and DMARC policies, DMARC report services. No mailbox addresses.
DNS lookups that time out (common for domains with many TXT records) are tried once more.
Full and compact output, category filter, minimum confidence.
Change monitoring between scheduled runs.
Pay per website with results (plus Apify's start fee per run); failed websites are not charged.
Fixed on 21 October 2026: the billed count in the run summary (SUMMARY) counted each charged website twice. The charges themselves were always right.
robots.txt handled as RFC 9309 says: a missing file allows the homepage; a server error or no answer means the homepage is not loaded, and statusDetail says why (for example HTTP 503). A dropped connection is tried once more.
Private and local network addresses are refused for every request, including redirects and host names that point to them.
Public suffixes that are websites themselves (for example gov.uk or nhs.uk) are accepted as input.
Fingerprints: webappanalyzer commit d91f7e5 (fetched 20 October 2026), 7,647 technologies, plus our own additions and corrections (Apple Business domain checks are no longer reported as Apple iCloud Mail).
