Yelp Business Info Scraper is a Yelp API alternative for business details. It reads Yelp business pages (/biz/...) and brand pages (/brands/...) and returns one record per business with 40+ fields, including the deeper sections most scrapers skip: specialties, year established, popular dishes, health inspections, videos, verified licenses and service areas.

It works on yelp.com and on other Yelp sites such as yelp.ca, yelp.co.uk and yelp.com.au, including Hong Kong listings.

How to scrape Yelp business data

How much does it cost to scrape Yelp?

A few things to know about the output:

• Fields depend on the business type. Restaurants usually have popular_items, menu_url and health_inspections. Home and local services usually have verified_licenses and service_areas. Fields that don't apply stay empty.
• Brand-only fields. number_of_locations, rating_breakdown and locations are filled only for brand pages.

• Hours with a break. When a business has several time ranges in one day, hours separates them with , , e.g. "11:30 AM - 3:00 PM, 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM".
• Coordinates. latitude and longitude are null for service-area businesses that have no public storefront.

Tips

• Bulk runs. Put as many URLs as you like in the Urls list, and each one becomes its own record.
• Business vs. brand URLs. A business URL (/biz/<slug>) returns the full detail set for that location. A brand URL (/brands/<slug>) returns brand-level data: rating, review count, categories, website, the number of locations and a list of member locations. Per-location fields like address, hours and photos stay empty for brands.
• Empty fields are normal. Which sections a page has depends on the business type and on what the owner has published on Yelp.
• Failed items. If Yelp keeps serving an incomplete page after several retries, the record comes back with status: "FAILED", so you can see exactly which URLs to retry.
• Early stop. In the rare case that Yelp refuses access for a long time, the run stops early instead of producing, and charging you for, a long list of failed records. The run log says how many URLs were not scraped, so you can run them again later.
• Scheduling and integrations. Run the Actor on a schedule, or connect it to your stack with the Apify API, webhooks and integrations.

Is it legal to scrape Yelp?

This Actor collects only publicly available business information from Yelp. Our Actors are ethical and do not extract any private user data, such as email addresses, gender, or location. They only extract what the user has chosen to share publicly. We therefore believe that our Actors, when used for ethical purposes by Apify users, are safe. However, you should be aware that your results could contain personal data. Personal data is protected by the GDPR in the European Union and by other regulations around the world. You should not scrape personal data unless you have a legitimate reason to do so. If you're unsure whether your reason is legitimate, consult your lawyers.

Do I need a Yelp account or API key?

No. Just provide the business URLs.

Can I use it with AI agents?

Yes. AI assistants and agents that support MCP can call this Actor through the Apify MCP server, and developers can run it from code with the Apify API or client libraries.

Why are some fields empty?

Yelp shows different sections for different business types, and not every owner fills in every section. Fields that don't apply to a business are returned empty.
