What does YouTube Channel Scraper do?

YouTube Channel Scraper lists the videos of any YouTube channel and returns them as clean, structured data: title, URL, exact publish date, exact view and like counts, duration, description, category, tags and channel details. It works as an unofficial YouTube API alternative โ€” no API key, no quota and no login needed.

Paste one or more channel handles, links or channel IDs, choose Videos, Shorts or Live, and click Start. You can stop at a date (for example "only videos from the last 30 days") or at a number of videos per channel, and download the results as JSON, CSV or Excel.

Why use YouTube Channel Scraper?

  • ๐Ÿ“… Exact dates and numbers โ€” the publish date and time (UTC), exact view count and like count of every video, not just "3 weeks ago" and "84M".
  • ๐ŸŽฌ Videos, Shorts and Live โ€” scrape any of the three channel tabs, sorted by Latest, Popular or Oldest, just like on the channel page.
  • โฑ๏ธ Stop where you want โ€” set a "Published after" date (or a period like 7 days) and a number of videos per channel, so you only pay for what you need.
  • ๐Ÿ”’ Members-only videos included โ€” each video is marked as Public or Members only.
  • ๐Ÿ“‡ Channel details on every row โ€” name, ID, subscribers, total views, number of videos, country, joined date, links, keywords, verified badge and whether the channel lists a business email, ready for multi-channel comparisons and outreach.
  • โšก Fast and lightweight โ€” no browser, so runs finish quickly and cost little. Add as many channels as you like in one run.

Popular use cases: channel audits, competitor and creator monitoring, content research, influencer vetting, tracking new uploads on a schedule, and building video datasets.

Tips and limitations

  • Track new uploads: set Published after to 1 day and schedule the run daily to get only the new videos each day.
  • Published after works with Latest. If you also choose Popular or Oldest, the Actor switches to Latest and notes it in the log.
  • Shorts don't show a publish date or length on the Shorts tab, so the Actor reads them from each Short. This also lets Published after work for Shorts.
  • Members-only videos have no public view count, so view_count is empty and view_count_exact is null.
  • Subscriber counts are rounded the same way YouTube shows them publicly (for example 519,000,000).
  • Live streams that are on air right now and upcoming premieres are skipped, because they have no final length yet.
  • If a channel can't be found or has none of the selected tabs, the run still finishes and the status message tells you which channel to check.
  • Need the comments themselves? Use YouTube Comments Scraper.

FAQ

This Actor only collects data that channels publish openly. Our Actors are ethical and do not extract any private user data, such as email addresses, gender, or location. They only extract what the user has chosen to share publicly. We therefore believe that our Actors, when used for ethical purposes by Apify users, are safe. However, you should be aware that your results could contain personal data. Personal data is protected by the GDPR in the European Union and by other regulations around the world. You should not scrape personal data unless you have a legitimate reason to do so. If you're unsure whether your reason is legitimate, consult your lawyers.

Do I need a YouTube API key or account?

No. Just add the channels and start the run.

How many videos can I scrape from one channel?

All the videos listed on the channel's tab, including channels with thousands of videos. Use Videos per channel or Published after if you only need part of them.

Can I scrape YouTube Shorts and live streams?

Yes. Choose Shorts and/or Live in Content types. Each item's video_type tells you which tab it came from.

Can I use it through the API or with AI agents?

Yes. You can run it with the Apify API, the Python and JavaScript clients, integrations such as Make, Zapier and n8n, or the Apify MCP server for AI agents.

Why did a channel return no videos?

The status message of the run explains it: the channel couldn't be found (check the handle or paste the channel link), the channel has none of the selected tabs, or no videos were published after your Published after date.
