Bulgarian Commercial Register Scraper

Each row is one Bulgarian company from the Commercial Register of the Registry Agency: its name in Cyrillic and Latin script, legal form, registered seat, object of activity and capital, plus VAT validity from EU VIES. Enter EIK numbers (ЕИК) or BG VAT numbers and click Start. Lookups go at the register's pace, so even a short list can take several minutes. It costs $2.00 per 1,000 company records on the Free plan ($1.00 on Business), and the $5 of monthly credit in Apify's Free plan covers about 2,500 company records. A VIES answer adds $0.001 per company.

Output fields

seat	Registered seat as the register formats it, sometimes followed by the phone, email and website the company registered.
activity	Object of activity as registered, free text in Bulgarian.
capital	Registered capital with its currency, such as 51090431.68 €.
deedStatus	Status code of the company file as the Registry Agency publishes it, such as 2. The actor passes it through without interpreting it.
vatNumber, vatValidVies, viesName	VAT number (BG plus the EIK) when VIES confirms it, the VIES answer itself, and the name VIES has on file.
riskFlags	Plain-English warnings, such as a VAT number that VIES does not confirm or a sole trader notice.
provenance	One entry for the register and one for VIES, with URL, time and whether each answered.

How to check Bulgarian companies

1. In Companies to check, enter a JSON list of EIK numbers ("130007884") or VAT numbers ("BG130007884"), or objects such as {"eik": "831915840", "reference": "supplier-42"}.
2. Leave Confirm VAT numbers in EU VIES on to check each company's VAT number, which is BG followed by the EIK.
3. Click Start and let the run finish at the register's pace.
4. Open the Output tab for one row per EIK and export it as CSV, Excel or JSON. For the API, send the same input:

You pay for the events in the table and nothing else: compute time and proxies are included.

The only extra source here is the VIES answer. For 1,000 companies that VIES answers for, the records cost $2.00 and the VIES answers $1.00 on the Free plan, or $1.00 and $0.50 on Business. The run fee applies to runs that find at least one EIK, once per run. An EIK that fails its checksum, one the register does not know and one the register did not answer for are not charged.

Limits

• The Registry Agency lets one address make about 5 requests before it pauses it for 40 seconds. The actor asks once every 8 seconds, so 100 EIKs take about 13 minutes. If the register still limits the requests 3 times in a row, the remaining rows come back unverified and free of charge, and the status message says so.
• The row has no insolvency or liquidation entries. deedStatus is the only status field, and it is not interpreted.
• Branches with a 13-digit EIK are read from the register, but VIES is not asked about them.
• The seat text mixes English labels such as Country: and Region: with Bulgarian values, exactly as the register returns it.
• When the register has not answered for an EIK after five tries, the row comes back unmatched with a note saying so.

Sole traders and what is left out

A sole trader (ЕТ) carries its owner's name in its trade name. For such an EIK the actor withholds the name, the Latin name, the full name and the seat and does not ask VIES; the legal form, activity and capital are still returned. The fields of the company file that list managers and owners are never read, for any company.

Checking the same list again later

To follow the same companies, run them on a schedule under one Watch name or as a saved task. Each run stores the differences from the previous run of that name in the CHANGES record, for example a new registered capital, a changed seat or a VAT number that VIES stopped confirming. The comparison itself costs nothing.

Is it legal to scrape the Bulgarian Commercial Register?

The Commercial Register is a public register, and the Registry Agency serves its entries through the public data service the actor reads, one EIK at a time. The actor returns the company part of each entry, withholds the names and seats of sole traders, and never reads the fields that name managers or owners. Responsibility for how you use the results is yours.

Can I look up a branch?

Yes, with its 13-digit EIK. Both parts of the code are checked against their checksum first.
