"Only posts older than" jumps straight to any date, years back; "Only posts newer than" stops at a date. Calendar dates or relative periods ("3 months"), UTC; relative months and years are calendar months and years. A reversed range stops with a message explaining the fix.
Large jobs on one page are split into date ranges read in parallel — about 4x faster than reading the feed one page at a time. Parallelism is automatic; there is no setting to tune.
