What does Woolworths Scraper do?

Woolworths Scraper collects prices, specials and the full product card from woolworths.com.au (Woolworths Australia): current and regular price, promotion labels, multibuy offers, unit price, stock, barcode, nutrition, ingredients, allergens, Health Star Rating and departments.

Tell it what to collect in any mix:

• Search terms, e.g. milk or coffee beans, with each product's position in the results.
• Category and specials pages, e.g. Milk, Half Price, or every special at once.
• Stockcodes or product links, to track the price of a fixed list of products every day.

It costs $0.50 per 1,000 products, with no start fee. Searches with no results and unknown stockcodes are free, and Apify's free plan ($5 of credit every month) covers about 10,000 products a month.

Why use this Woolworths scraper?

• The whole product card, at no extra cost. Nutrition per 100 g and per serve, ingredients, allergens, free-from and dietary claims, Health Star Rating, departments, promotion and multibuy details come with every product. There is no separate "details" charge.
• Any input, one run. Searches, category pages, specials pages and stockcodes can be mixed in one run.
• You only pay for products. A search that finds nothing, a stockcode Woolworths doesn't sell and a category that fails are recorded as free rows that explain what happened, and the run carries on.
• No surprise bills. maxResults caps the whole run (1,000 products by default, $0.50), and Everyday Market (third-party) products are left out unless you ask for them.
• Fast and light. It calls the same JSON endpoints the Woolworths website uses, 36 products per request, instead of opening a browser. Stockcodes are looked up 30 at a time.
• Safe restarts. If the platform moves your run to another server, it resumes where it stopped, without duplicate products or double charges.

How to scrape Woolworths

• sortBy: relevance, priceLowToHigh, priceHighToLow, unitPriceLowToHigh or name.
• maxResults caps the whole run; maxResultsPerTerm caps each search term or category. 0 means no limit.
• https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/browse/specials collects every kind of special (Half Price, Lower Shelf Price, Buy More Save More…).

Good to know

• position counts only the products delivered, so it skips Everyday Market products you left out.
• A product that appears in several categories of one run is delivered once. Searches keep every product they find, because each ranking matters.
• If a category shows nothing but Everyday Market products for several pages, the scraper stops that category and says so, instead of paging through thousands of third-party items.
• In spreadsheets, format the barcode column as text, or Excel shows it in scientific notation.
• Only woolworths.com.au (Australia) is supported.

Can I track a list of products every day? Yes. Put their stockcodes (or product links) in productIds, save the input as a task and schedule it. 30 stockcodes take one request, so even long lists are fast and cheap.

How do I get every special? Add https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/browse/specials to the category pages.

Are these in-store prices? No, they are the online prices on woolworths.com.au.

Does it cover Coles or other retailers? Not yet: only woolworths.com.au.
