FAQ

Do I need an Instagram account? No. Only publicly visible data is collected, without logging in.

What about private profiles? You get the public part (name, bio, counts, picture); posts are not visible.

Why is postsCount sometimes null or latestPosts empty? For some very large accounts Instagram's logged-out profile view hides the post grid. Use Instagram Posts Scraper to get their posts.

Is scraping Instagram legal? This Actor only collects publicly available data. Personal data is protected by regulations such as GDPR; make sure you have a legitimate reason and consult a lawyer if unsure.

Data & privacy

Only publicly visible data is collected.
