SEC Form D Scraper turns new SEC Form D filings into a clean lead list of recently funded US companies. Every time a private company raises money under Regulation D (seed rounds, Series A and later, Rule 506(b) and 506(c) offerings), it has to file a Form D with the SEC. This Actor pulls those filings from the official SEC EDGAR database, filters out investment funds and SPVs, and gives you operating companies with their address, business phone, amount raised and the executives named in the filing.

Easiest way to try it: click Start with the default input. You get up to 20 companies that filed in the last 7 days.

How to find recently funded startups

  1. Choose a date range (defaults to the last 7 days).
  2. Optionally narrow by US state, industry (e.g. Technology, Health Care), minimum amount raised, or new offerings only (skip amendments).
  3. Set Max results and run. Download the results as CSV, Excel or JSON, or connect them to your CRM through the Apify API or integrations such as Zapier and Make.

What data you get from Form D

For each company: company name, SEC CIK, filing date, form type and whether it is an amendment, industry group, entity type, street address, city, state, ZIP, business phone, total offering amount, amount sold so far, amount remaining, date of first sale, exemptions claimed, number of investors, minimum investment, revenue range (if disclosed), executives and directors (names and roles as published), and links to the filing on sec.gov.

Use cases

  • Sales outreach: reach companies right after they raise money, when they are hiring and buying tools.
  • VC and market research: track who is raising, where, and in which industries.
  • Agencies, recruiters, accountants and lawyers: find newly funded clients who need your services.
  • Fintech and banking: spot companies that just took on capital.

Pricing

Pay only for what you get: $0.025 per lead ($25 per 1,000 leads) plus $0.01 per run start. The default run returns up to 20 leads. Investment funds, SPVs and real-estate vehicles are excluded by default, so you aren't charged for them (you can change this).

FAQ

Is scraping SEC Form D data legal? Form D filings are public records published by the US Securities and Exchange Commission on SEC EDGAR. This Actor uses only official SEC endpoints, sends an identified User-Agent, stays under the SEC fair-access rate limit (5 requests per second or fewer) and backs off when asked. No logins, no third-party sites. You're responsible for using contact data in line with the laws that apply to you (e.g. CAN-SPAM, CASL).

Does it include email addresses? No. Form D filings don't contain emails. You get the business phone, address and executive names published in the filing.

How fresh is the data? It reads EDGAR live on every run, so new filings appear as soon as the SEC publishes them.

Why are some amounts zero? Many companies file before selling any securities, so "amount sold" can be 0 while the offering size is set. Use Minimum amount raised to keep only companies that have already raised money.

Something not working? Open an issue on the Issues tab and include your run ID.
