Web Page Scraper — Extract Titles, Links & Data

Paste in URLs, get back each page's title, link count and text length as clean JSON. No code, no setup.

A simple, fast web scraper for people who need page data without building a crawler. Useful for content analysis, SEO research, link auditing and quick data collection.

Input

{
"urls": ["https://example.com", "https://news.ycombinator.com"],
"maxPages": 5
}
  • urls — the pages to scrape, returned in the order you supply them.
  • maxPages — page cap per site (default 5).

Output

One JSON record per page:

fieldmeaning
urlthe page fetched
titlethe page's title
linkCountnumber of links found
textLengthlength of the extracted visible text
timestampwhen the page was fetched

Verified

A single local run on 2026-10-03 over five URLs: 5 requests, 5 succeeded, 0 failed, returned in the order supplied.

Two things to know

  • Titles come from the page's markup as-is. On heavily nested sites several elements can run together (for example Texas.gov | The Official Website of the State of TexasTexas.gov LogoGlobe Icon...). Titles are reliable on ordinary pages; treat very complex headers as approximate.
  • JavaScript-rendered pages are not supported — this reads the served HTML.

What it does not do

Plain HTML fetch only. No JavaScript rendering, no login-walled pages, no browser automation. If you need those, use Apify's browser-based crawlers instead.
