FAQ

Is this official data? Yes — the French government's own company-search API over the SIRENE registry (INSEE data). No scraping, no gray areas.

Can I check if a supplier is still active? That's the active field: false means the registry marks it administratively closed.

Does it return the VAT number? When the registry discloses it, yes — handy together with our EU VAT Validator to confirm it's currently valid.

Honest limitations

• Companies with restricted-diffusion status (statut de diffusion protégé) expose only partial data by law.
• Employee range is an INSEE bracket code, not an exact headcount.
